Following her real-talk vlog on bouncing back from debt, weight gain, and family issues, Lauren Young is sharing another life update. She reveals that she’s now ready to move out of sister Megan Young’s home, “not because we’re fighting but because we’re in such a good place that it’s time for us to move on with our lives. I need to give her space, and at the same time, she needs to give me space to grow and be responsible and better with decision-making.”
The actress and vlogger says moving out wasn’t an easy decision to make. “I’d gotten used to the comforts of being with my family. That’s when I realized, ‘Ah, girl, it’s time to move on with your life.’ I was like, ‘Okay, time to grow up and own up to your mistakes and take life head on.’”
She will be living with her brother, Victor, and friends, and it will be her first time sharing a home with friends. “I tackle things in such a different way now. Now, I think, ‘If you’re scared, maybe you’re moving in the right direction.’”
Lauren also talks about the importance of communicating with yourself and others during tough times. “A lot of us are actually scared to communicate with ourselves because we are ashamed to admit our faults and embarrassed na umabot tayo sa ganitong point in our lives.” But once you do, you can communicate with others and ask for advice. This is how she worked out her finances, with help from friends who work in banks and are good with handling money. Instead of using most of her earnings to pay off a 15-year loan for her condo unit, she extended the loan to allot more money for her savings and daily expenses.
