Miriam E. Cooper

Miriam Cooper is the founder of the Cooper Trachtenberg Law Group LLC, a law firm based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.  Ms. Cooper provides legal services throughout the Greater Chicagoland area.  Her primary focus is family law, including divorce, child support and post-decree modifications.  She also provides real estate services complementary to her practice.  Ms. Cooper graduated from the John Marshall Law School and has been practicing family law in Illinois for 30 years.  She is an advocate for children's best interest and serves as a certified child representative and guardian ad litem.  After attending Northwestern University for mediation training she became certified as a mediator for the Circut Court of Cook County.  Additionally, her mediation training led her to be certified as a collaborative divorce law practitioner, and she is a collaborative law fellow.  Ms. Cooper's expertise enables her to negotiate, collaborate and litigate for her clients.  She is held in high regard by her clients and fellow professionals as her Superb rating on Avvo evidences.  Miriam is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and currently serves as the President of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association, Co-Chair of the Awards Committee, and a member of its Matrimonial Law Committee and Women's Law Committee.  She has served for many years as the Chair of high school Law Day, pairing her law career with her interest in education.  Miriam received the honor of House of Representatives 0295 from the Illinois House of Representatives, having stepped down from the Board of Education of Township High School District 214 after 28 years of dedicated service.  She is a trustee of the District 214 High School Education Foundation.  The Daily Herald Business Ledger honored Miriam as a 2017 Influential Women in Business.  With Ms. Cooper at its helm, Law Office of Miriam Cooper of Associates, LLC offers a team-based approach in assisting clients' individual needs.  Miriam Cooper and her associates take great pride in their shared knowledge and ability to draw on their collective strengths to provide high-quality services.
