Little Matthew debuted at the age of six, which was in 2002 in the TV show episode called “Queer as Folk”, where he played Peter. Matt’s first leading role was in 2003 in “Big Spender”, where he played Will Burton. His third appearance on the TV screen episode happened in 2003 in the “1-800-Missing” .Then in 2004 was a role of Harry in the short film “Peep”. In 2005 Knight played in “Cheaper by Dozen” and in “The Greatest Game Ever Played”. 2006 was quite successful for the young actor – he appeared in the “Skinwalkers”, where he was featuring a ware wolf, and finally received his star role of Jake Kimble in “The Grudge 2” TV series.

After that legendary film, he took part in dozens of soap operas, short films and a number of feature-length films. In 2007 he was starring in the film “Christmas in Wonderland” and was nominated for the “Best Performance in a DVD film”. Matthew’s acting abilities weren’t express only on the screen; he was great even on the back stage! From 2005 to 2009 Matt was voicing Tom the Cat in the television theatrical performance “Peep and the Big Wide World”. In 2008 Knight was working on the film “Finn on the Fly”.

In 2009 he made another breakthrough in the film “Gooby”, where he featured Willy. This time, Matthew has been finally awarded Young Artist Award for the “Best Performance in a DVD film”. He has also continued his cooperation with creators of “The Grunge” and starred in “The Grunge 3”. After the “Grudge”, a Canadian actor participated in a bunch of films connected to the witch theme, particularly, in the “Good Witch Series”: “The Good Witch” (2008), “The Good Witch’s Garden” (2009), “The Good Witch’s Gift” (2010) and “The Good Witch’s Family” (2011), “The Good Witch’s Charm” (2012), “The Good Witch’s Destiny” (2013) , “The Good Witch’s Wonder” (2014) and even in the television film “My Babysitter’s a Vampire”. This guy absolutely adores everything supernatural and mysterious! Then, he participated in the creation of two episodes of the “R.L. Stein’s The Hunting Hour” show: “Alien Candy and “Checking Out”.

Throughout Matthew Knight’s acting carrier, he has been nominated seven times for a Young Artist Award for the films : “Candles on Bay Street” (2007), “Christmas in Wonderland” (2009), “The Good Witch” (2009), “The Good Witch’s Gift” (2010), “Gooby” (2010), “The Good Witch’s Family” (2011) and “My Babysitter’s Vampire” (2011). However, he was awarded only twice for the “Candles on the Bay Street” and “Gooby”, once for his performance in Candles on Bay Street (2006) and once for his performance in Gooby (2009).
