Marymount Manhattan College is a private school located in three buildings on the Upper East Side of New York City. Students can choose from 25 major programs of study. Although most students at Marymount Manhattan live off campus, the school has two residence halls, including a 32-story skyscraper on 55th Street in Midtown. Marymount Manhattan, sometimes called MMC, does not have a varsity sports program, but it does offer nearly 40 student organizations, including a dance club.

MMC students can also find much to do in the surrounding city, whether by taking a short subway ride to see a Broadway show in the Theater District or to shop in SoHo or by going on a five-block walk to explore Central Park. Given that about a third of MMC students major in visual and performing arts, it’s no surprise that many of the school's alumni are notable actors, including Annaleigh Ashford, who starred as Glinda in Broadway's production of "Wicked," and Moira Kelly, who voiced the animated character Nala in "The Lion King" and appeared in the television show "The West Wing."
