Grouchy attacked the Prussians at Wavre following his orders from Napoleon. He didn't know Blücher was on the way to Wellington at Waterloo.
And even if Napoleon had won Waterloo. He would have the survivors of the Allied army as well as massive Austrian and Russian armies approaching. As well as Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Bavarian, Wurttemberg etc forces to contend with.

You do realize there is a big gulf between “this was an influential and powerful family” and “this family was part of international conspiracy to control world history from the shadows”, right?

The wealthy and politically influential have never had to hide anything. It’s all there to see. Not everything economic or political is an off-the-radar scheme in hidden alleyways waiting for you to find out! A conspiracy requires, I don’t know, conspiring! Most forces (whether they be political, economic, etc.) are formed “organically” and over time, not some diabolical secret control plan set in motion on purpose three centuries ago with a blueprint and a guiding shadowy hand.

The thing with conspiracy theories such as this is that you can pretty much connect everything if you try hard enough, but it doesn’t make it true.
You can easily say that Marmont turned his back on Napoleon in 1814, or that all the marshals at Fontainebleau recommended Napoleon to abdicate on the basis that they were all bribed for the same reason.
Or that Alexander disobeyed the Continental System…
Or that General Moreau returned from his exile in America to assist the allies because he received a lump sum because of this as well…
Or that General Dumouriez defected to the coalition because he received an offer he couldn’t refuse (and then we can make a few stretchy reasons why Kellermann, Moreau, Jourdan or Napoleon remained faithful to the Republic).
