Marilyn Monroe had some secret beauty tricks up her silk gloved sleeves to help keep her skin looking flawless for Hollywood, and one of them included a tub of Vaseline.
The beauty secret was revealed by Oscar-nominated actress Renee Taylor, 86, when she was speaking at an event to celebrate 50 years of the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.
'She came into class with Lee Strasberg one day and I just had to ask what she did,' Taylor detailed, according to Page Six. 'Marilyn told me, "I rub my entire body down with Vaseline and then get into a three-hour hot bath every morning. It gives my skin a shiny glow."'

Not for her: 'So I tried that. I almost drowned,' Taylor (pictured in January), who starred in The Nanny and Made For Each Other, said during a speech
The time-extensive beauty secret was not something Taylor could keep up with, though, even if it did give Monroe glowy skin.

Based on Taylor's account, the product was also clearly a hit for Monroe to give her that natural glow.
This comes after it was revealed the Some Like It Hot actress potentially had no underwear on underneath the iconic dress she wore when publicly singing Happy Birthday to President John F. Kennedy in 1962.
The revelation comes from the book Life Isn't Everything: Mike Nichols, As remembered By 150 Of His Closest Friends about the late director Mike Nichols.
One of the stories in the book was relayed by New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, and it detailed Monroe during the historic birthday moment.

Scandalous: The moment made people question if Monroe was having an affair with the president. Pictured is Monroe with Kennedy (right) and his brother Robert Kennedy (left)
'When Marilyn sang Happy Birthday to Jack Kennedy in the famous dress she had to be sewn into, the sequined Jean Louis gown, Mike was there that night,' Dowd told authors Ash Carter and Sam Kashner.
'He told me, "I was standing right behind Marilyn, completely invisible, when she sang Happy birthday, Mr. President, and, indeed, the corny thing happened.
'Her dress split for my benefit, and there was Marilyn, and, yes, indeed, she didn't wear any underwear,"' added the writer.
Monroe's dress was memorable to begin with given it was a nude, sheer gown that fell straight to the floor with 4,000 rhinestones encrusted across the fabric.
But the sex icon made the look all the more risque by forgoing underwear for the moment, which was all documented on television.
Overall, the entire presentation by Monroe, who had already played a sexual creature in dozens of movies like Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Niagara, was an over-the-top display that made people question if she was having an affair with the president.
Monroe died in her Los Angeles home just three months after the performance due to a suspected drug overdose.
