Elizabeth H. "Betsy" Maxwell

The memorial service for Betsy will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Fourth Presbyterian Church, 3016 Preston Hwy., Louisville, KY. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Betsy died July 20, 2021, at the age of 73. She taught kindergarten at Fourth Presbyterian Church and St. Stephen Martyr School for many years. She was a Girl Scout leader, a member of the Audubon Park Garden Club and a volunteer docent at the Louisville Zoo. She taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir, and served as an elder. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Edward (Ethelyn) Maxwell and is survived by siblings Dr. Ed (Nancy Lee) Maxwell, Jr., Kenneth Maxwell, Dr. James (Sue) Maxwell, Nancy (Bill) Hanna, and Margaret Maxwell. Memorial gifts may be made to Fourth Presbyterian Church or to Ministries United of South Central Louisville (MUSCL).
