I love places that serve delicious food without being pretentious. Here you get perfect food, service and setting. My girlfriend felt unwell from too much sun and couldn't eat so they packaged the food and even gave her tips to feel better. We will be...back when we're both at our best! Amazing prawns with rosemary and hazlenuts and the beef fillet was delicious.More

We were very impressed by the Marco Polo. They have an intimate, atmospheric court yard and you are advised to book in advance as this is a very popular venue. The food is very good and the portions are generous. We had an excellent dinner...and would gladly recommend this to people visiting Rhodes Town. The staff are both friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and how the food is prepared. A delightful evening.More

We attended a birthday there and the food was great. The giouvarlakia with a twist was really good and the fish was fresh. The star dish for me was thw beef fillet with the potatoes and artichokes. Definitely worth a good meal. Prices are a...bit more expensive compared to other restaurants in the area but the food is worth it.More

After locals had recommended this restaurant, my wife and I decided to have our 5th wedding anniversary dinner here. Wish we hadn't. On arrival, we were greeted quite abruptly as though we had interrupted service despite us having reserved a table. We were given a...limited choice of tables and ended up near the service hatch and walkway. In times of covid, we were surprised this was allowed to happen. Wine was okay. Food was good however, the level and attention of service, for somewhere quite pricey and renowned, fell well below what we expected. The whole experience felt rushed and the servers were very keen to serve other large groups. Sadly, we wouldn't go back.More

We ate here 2 nights running, having had such a great experience on the first visit. The standard of food and service is exceptional especially when considering the very reasonable prices. Surroundings are lovely and the owners do a great job of making every customer...feel welcome. Wine list is extensive with some incredibly well researched and sourced Greek wines on the list. This is a family owned and run business but the passion of all involved is obvious. First class food hidden away from the tourist traps. GF and other dietary needs well catered for and understood. The lack of any gluten free bread being my only disappointment. Dress smartly and allow plenty of time if you wish to make the most of this culinary gem!More

Amazing service, wine, food and setting. Everything we ate was delicious and the wine recommendation was excellent too. Very reasonable prices for the experience and quality of food and we noted some regulars sat near us - I would certainly be a regular here given...the option. I would highly recommend reserving in advance because the restaurant was fully booked 2 days ahead and we saw people being turned away when we ate there. Call or knock on the door when passing by.More

We couldn't wait to return to Marco Polo in June 2022. We had visited in both 2018 and 2019 and on both occasions had the most amazing meals. In addition to great food, the service had been faultless. On our most recent visit we had...booked a table and as a party of four, seated quite near the entrance of the courtyard. We were advised of specials and drinks served promptly. As the meal progressed we were completely ignored as far as replenishment of drinks were concerned. More frustratingly, we could see other tables receiving constant attention. The final straw was when we ordered dessert. My adult daughter, who has a peanut allergy, enquired about one particular dessert and containment of nuts. The waiter confirmed it did contain nuts but could be served without. When the desserts arrived, hers was topped generously with nuts! On receipt of the bill I explained that we wouldn't be paying the service charge due to the lack of any kind of service, topped by the oversight of serving nuts when they had been advised. I referred to our previous visits and how disappointed we were. I expressed my astonishment of how only certain tables were receiving decent service. Needless to say we will never return!More

We came to the restaurant around 22.30 with our kids and saw another family waiting for a table (because they also didn't have a reservation). When we asked the owner if we can wait for a table too, her answer was that it's not going...to happen. This kind of people who think that the sun is shining from their bottom, doesn't deserve your money. Be careful!More

Wow - I cannot tell you enough how much we enjoyed our meal here. Our tour guide suggested it, said it is a special place and he dines their with his family for special occasions. I was skeptical, but we went. The venue is tucked...away on a quiet street - out of the tourist area. If you are not careful you will miss it. Once you enter through a small room you go upstairs to a beautiful "secret garden". It was very private and quiet - and it just felt special being there. Our server was very well versed in the food and wine. Our food was amazing!!! My son had fish, I had the house made pasta. Can not recommend this place enough!More

We booked ahead to get a table for early on Saturday evening. This was going to be the last big meal of our holiday so we wanted to splash out and have a real treat to remember. The restaurant was quieter than we expected, less...than half full, however the service was slow to say the least. Wish now that we'd left after initial view of the very limited printed menu - especially if you have people who want veggie / vegan options. Then a waiter appeared and whistled through the specials options in about 15 seconds flat, with his strong accent it was really tough to catch what he was saying. The waiter left us a while to mull over options as he did the same at other tables nearby. He clearly wasn't best pleased when we asked him to clarify what was available, but we were struggling to find anything that really appealed, but out of politeness we stayed and hoped it would be ok. Well, yes it was ok, but certainly nothing special. We had much cheaper and yet more impressive and tasty fare at several restaurants nearby. Such a shame. Another member of staff (female, poss owner?), came around after the mains with a dessert board. We declined and I began explaining that neither of us are big on sweet things, but she walked off as I was talking .... so that sums up this place I think. You don't always get what you pay for!!More

The Marco Polo restaurant is the best on the island ! We went there to celebrate our anniversary. The location is ideal, a bit far from the super touristic streets of the old town, but still close enough to be easily accessible. The restaurant is...very beautiful, you dine in a garden with fountains and cosy chairs. The food is absolutely delicious, we tried various starters, main dishes and desserts. All were fabulous and made us discover new greek flavors. The presentation is always beautiful. The waiters are super nice and friendly, they advise you really well on the menu and the wine. They even offered us some homemade digestive at the end of the dinner. We wanted to go back during our vacation but unfortunately they were fully booked. So book in advance, and go enjoy this amazing restaurant !More

The food at Marco Polo was good (I had one of their lamb dishes), and while I was nicely welcomed in and someone walked me through the menu, after my food came out, it was like I didn’t exist. It seemed like the person who...was running the place (I think it was a woman) was friendly towards all of the people she knew at the restaurant, but it seemed like she and her staff paid little attention to people they didn’t know. As someone who was dining alone, you would have thought they would have made an effort to check-in on me, but that wasn’t the case. They also turned away multiple couples when there were empty tables (I was there from 7:15-almost 9:00pm)-I’m sure there is an explanation, but it seemed odd. I also saw two people get up in the middle of their meal and leave while I was there. They weren’t angry and were very pleasant, but for some reason, they didn’t want to stay. I also asked for my bill three times before someone finally came and let me pay. Come for the food, but don’t come for the service. I’m sure there are other really great restaurants in Rhodes with better service, too.More

Easily the best restaurant we ate at during our 10 day stay in Rhodes. Food was very good (approaching fine dining), the service excellent (very polite and knowledgeable - the waiter recommended an inexpensive local wine based upon the wines we told him that we...enjoyed) and the table in the rear/side courtyard was lovely, a magical ambience. Try and get to the rear/side courtyard passed the water feature if you can, as the tables are more spaced out there. For 3 courses and bottle of wine it was less then 100 Euros , so also incredible value too. You do have to book in advance due to its popularity.More

In our recent fortnight in Greece, we ate out in the evening on a dozen occasions. This was by far the best - so much so that we went back again (we normally prefer variety). Good Greek cooking, but also a full Mediterranean and international...variety. Not perhaps as cheap as many, but excellent value. The waiting staff were superb, and their attention to explaining their menu choices and relating to our interests was unusually good. They really understood the products of their kitchen and "sold" them to us very clearly.More

While staying in the mansion we ate here one of the nights. Its run by Effi & her son who explained the menu to us and made recommendations. The food and wine was delicious. A shot of lemoncello or mandarin made by Effi was offered...at the end of the meal. Make a reservation. Its worth it.More

Dear Brian I did not see any high chairs or any children in the evening. Why don't you just call them on +30 2241 025562. You will need to book anyway.
