jon w Main actors usually funny but this was cringe and I watch alot of low brow s**t comedy. I know he's meant to be a loser man child buylt the first 2 episodes where just dead and cringe. Him talking to his girlfriend about how he thinks it may be possible to lift of the ground via farting..... Hilarious(s) Il quit and assume she doesn't get back with him and that's a happy ending yet there's 4 seasons so il admit maybe I just wasn't in the mood or it's just not for me. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/15/23 Full Review Audience Member A decent start to a series that only gets better afterwards. The absurd comedy that thrives through the likes of Greg Davies is what makes this first season a fun watch. It may not be for all, but it sets the foundation for future seasons that only improve. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review johann m Sadly, I haven't been able to connect with this comedy series, it's sometimes incredibly stupid and the main character and his friend are insufferable. The only good thing is Rik Mayall and his cruel and hilarious pranks, which is why I won't be watching any longer, due to his death after season 1. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely dire. Unfunny, gross, hated it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Once you're on the same sheet, you're good. Took me a while to reach that connection. It's a grower Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Could not stop laughing, season 1 was hilarious Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Will Dean Independent (UK) Any show which can come up with a kids' school nativity called Scrooge 3000 is all right in my book. Apr 15, 2019 Full Review Yolanda Zappaterra Time Out Some slapstick scenes that are so preposterous as to be surreal... It's touches such as these -- and Davies's utterly silly but joyous classroom scenes -- that could have you warming to both Davies and the series. Apr 15, 2019 Full Review Michael Hogan Daily Telegraph (UK) The supporting cast were caricatures rather than characters, the dialogue didn't convince, the script's swearing seemed gratuitous and jarringly jaunty music played to signal that this was all a bit "madcap" and "wacky." Rated: 2/5 Apr 15, 2019 Full Review David Butcher Radio Times Greg Davies brings his gift for the deranged to a new sitcom that is so loaded with childish eccentricity it practically bludgeons us into laughter. Apr 15, 2019 Full Review Veronica Lee The Arts Desk Man Down is a sitcom with that pleasing but difficult-to-achieve combination -- laugh-out-loud moments and truly touching scenes. A strong start.
