About
These two stylistically different towers, connected by a gate, form the entrance to the Lesser Town from the Charles Bridge. The smaller tower is Romanesque, dating from the 12th century; its current Renaissance appearance dates to 1591. The taller Late Gothic tower from 1464 is based on the architecture of Parléř's Old Town Bridge Tower. From its viewing gallery, you get a stunning view of the flowing Vltava River and the historical city centre.

One of the best views of Charles Bridge
We opted to go up the lesser tower bridge so we could get a great view of the Charles bridge from above. The stairs are quite steep, but with the climb if you can do it. The view towards the bridge captures just how busy it can be.

Great to Climb by Day and Magical to See at Night When Illuminated
The beautiful and historic Charles Bridge spanning the Vltava River is flanked by 2 impressive bridge towers with the Lesser Town Bridge Tower on the Mala Strana (Lesser Town) side. The taller gothic Tower dates back to 1464 and the shorter adjacent tower was originally built in the 12th century. The climb to the top is worth the effort as it provides great views of the Charles Bridge and river as well as of nearby Prague Castle. The cost is approximately US$8 to climb although you can pay US$12 for a combo ticket that includes entrance to the Old Town Bridge Tower on the other side of the river. Best photos from the top of the tower are late in the day when the sun is at your back. However, the tower is most magical when it is illuminated at night. At night, the view from the Charles Bridge of the Tower and St Nicholas Church behind in the Lesser Town is jaw dropping stunning.
Hello, thank you for the lovely message and also the review. We are pleased with your decision to purchase a combined ticket and visit both towers located on Charles Bridge at the same time. We are equally pleased with the wonderful experience you took away from this visit, and also thank you for the great tip for other visitors to whom you recommend visiting in the evening. However, we recognize that both monuments have their charms in daylight and in the evening when everything is beautifully lit up. I am sure that everyone will enjoy visiting these monuments. Thank you and we look forward to your next visit. Best regards, Prague City Tourism

    Stunning
One of the most evocative looking structures in Prague is the Lesser Town Bridge Tower . In my opinion Charles Bridge is the most beautiful bridge in the world and either side of this bridge are two stunning looking towers ,Old Town Bridge Tower which obviously brings you into the amazing Old Town of Prague and the Lesser Town Bridge Tower which brings you into the fascinating Mala Strana ( Lesser Town ) ,this tower which was constructed by 1466 is one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in the city and was constructed during the reign of King George of Podebrady . For a small fee you can purchase a combination ticket to ascend both towers ,views from Lesser Town Bridge Tower are amazing, looking over to the Old Town across this magnificent bridge that spans the wonderful Vltava River is breathtaking, staff in the tower are lovely and very helpful, add to the experience of visiting Lesser Town Bridge Tower, I've been visiting Prague every year sometimes twice a year for thirty years and this Tower plus Old Town Bridge Tower and Charles Bridge still have the same effect on me as they did when I first viewed them all those years ago ,in fact I love the views early hours of a morning when the tower with the stunning St Nicholas Church in the background beautifully illuminated as my mobile screen wallpaper, if you're planning a holiday to Prague I highly recommend you visit Lesser Town Bridge Tower, in my opinion a must go destination if you're in the Lesser Town of Prague.

The tower leads into Lesser Town. You can enter through a small door, and for a small fee climb 138 steps to the viewing platform. Caution: after the first couple flights of open stairs, it turns into a spiral staircase, where at places the treads are less than 12 inches!

The name of this tower sounds like the tower that came in 2nd place in the contest but it’s very impressive to look at. The name comes to it because it is the gate to "Lesser Town" as opposed to "Old Town." We saw it easily as we crossed the Charles Bridge. The architecture of the tower is Gothic and was built when the Charles Bridge was being constructed.

Great place to take a panoramic shot from the Charles bridge. It costs around 8 euros and less for kids and seniors. Be warned that there are about 8 flights of old wooden stairs (but solid). Do not attempt lightly if heights aren't your thing.
The view is worth the climb.

I decided to go up the tower pretty much on the spur of the moment. It is cheap to enter (150 crowns/£5) and not too difficult to climb.
Only one other family up there when I went so plenty of time and space to take [too] many photos.
The staff there are lovely and very friendly and the views are good. I will go again and also do the tower on the other side of the bridge.

A pretty nice tower placed at one ends of Charles bridge. It isn't opened for visitors so all you can do is to take a look from the outside. The tower from the opposite end of the bridge is more interesting, it's taller and it can be climbed for beautiful views.

Dear visitor, thank you for the feedback. The Lesser Town Bridge Tower consists of two towers. The smaller one, also known as Judita’s Tower, it isn’t under our management and belongs to Klub Za starou Prahu/Club for Old Prague. And you are right that Judita’s Tower isn’t open for visitors. But the other taller part is under management of Prague City Tourism and you can visit from the inside and enjoy stunning view – but don’t mistaken it with Old Town Bridge Tower on the other site of the bridge! That’s a different monument opened to visitors. Prague City Tourism

On the Mala Strana side , there are actually 2 towers connected by a short bridge on top. They are not even height, interestingly, the tall one was built later.

The tall tower is the one you get to climb for a reasonable fee.
I find this tower much easier to climb , than the one on the Old Town side.
Here, on the wooden staircase are several wide landings, where you can stop and catch a breath. The climb is therefore much less steep.

I love the views from here any time of the day and night.

This is very much like the Old Tower at the other end of the Bridge on the West bank.
If you climb it in the first hour after opening, it is half price.
The views are the same as the Old Tower, albeit at from the other end of the bridge and the exhibits are fairly similar as well.
Still worth a look.

We can't believe that we were the only ones there and how cheap it was (around £3) . I would say though that the stairs are steep (and narrow in places) to get to the top and it would be an issue if it was busy and crossing people on the stairs, fortunately we didn't have this issue. The views were amazing though, it really was worth the money and a great place to avoid the crowds.

It is located on the Malá Strana side of the famous Charles bridge. It is a good framing of the bridge. Actually, there are two towers. This review is for the higher and newer of the two towers. Even from outside, it is an interesting building and subject for photos. Inside there is a little museum. It is also possible to climb the stairs to the top of this tower, where you have a nice view, when you buy a ticket.
