This abandoned pony truss bridge once provided access between farmland divided by this drain and is one of only two documented examples of the Michigan Bridge Company. The other example can be found in Historic Bridge Park. As one of only two known examples of an in-state builder, and located a short distance from the headquarters of this company, this bridge has a high degree of historical significance on a local level. It would be an outstanding candidate for relocation and reuse in a park or on a trail.
