Hi!
We are a family of three, including a 5 year old child who has never taken ski lessons before. Heading to the Harz National park area Feb 22-26 (4 days) from Berlin, by train. We will use train, bus to get around (no car).
We want to base ourselves in a quaint town (Sankt Andreasburg, Braunlage maybe?) that is close to a ski-school so he can take lessons 1 or 2 days. We want to see the National Park, maybe the Lynx feeding or something cool like that? And we want to ride the Harz Mountain Railway up to Brocken.
Q: Where would you suggest we base ourselves so we can get around using the local bus (on HATIX card)? Preferably a town with quaint feels but close to nature.
Thank you!
