Where is Lindsay Lohan now?

Lindsay Lohan has been flying under the radar for years now, but once upon a time, she was unavoidable: After Mean Girls made her a household name, LiLo became a sought-after actress, singer, spokesmodel and personality; however, she ultimately maintained her household-name status thanks to her often bad behavior offscreen, with numerous arrests and battles with alcohol and substance abuse rendering her more notorious than famous. Now, however, Lohan is finally back in the spotlight thanks to what should be at least three upcoming Netflix projects with her name front and center. Find out what Lindsay Lohan is doing now and all the hard work it took for her to get there.

Where is Lindsay Lohan now?

Lohan is back to acting! In March 2022, she signed a deal to star in three upcoming Netflix projects, Deadline reported. One is called Falling for Christmas, slated to drop in late 2022, in which Lohan plays an heiress who's engaged and spoiled beyond belief—but when she has a skiing accident that gives her amnesia, she forgets her old life and becomes smitten with the ski lodge owner, played by Chord Overstreet.

Netflix Director of Independent Film Christina Rogers said in a statement announcing the comeback project, "We're so happy with our collaboration with Lindsay to date, and we're thrilled to continue our partnership with her. We look forward to bringing more of her films to our members around the world."

Falling for Christmas is currently in post-production. Lohan has another project, Cursed, currently in production. She plays Detective Mary Branigan in the horror-thriller, which co-stars Mickey Rourke.

What has happened to Lindsay Lohan?

Lohan has lived a life. Since her career peak with Mean Girls in 2004, Lohan has had quite a few professional and personal ups and downs, but has largely been laying low since her sixth stint in rehab and her 2014 Oprah Winfrey-hosted docuseries Lindsay that followed her efforts to rebuild her life following severe setbacks, including substance abuse, career failures, toxic relationships and even a miscarriage. In fact, Lohan credits Winfrey with getting her life back on track.

"I think Oprah really gave me a different perspective on life," she told her Mean Girls co-star Jonathan Bennett in a 2019 interview (via PEOPLE). "I was tired of being there for everyone and taking care of everyone and just wanted to be there for myself and be okay with being alone. It's okay to be alone."

Since Lindsay aired, Lohan has opened (and shuttered and sold) a beach club in Mykonos, Greece, which was the subject of an MTV reality show, returned to acting, recorded new musicbecome an in-demand presence on Cameoplanned to start a podcast, and, by and large, has kept her nose clean and stayed out of trouble.

Thankfully, she's finally found her footing and is working on yet another comeback.

Who is Lindsay Lohan's husband?

Lohan is married to Bader Shammas, who PEOPLE reports popped the question back in November 2021. You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. I am stunned that you are my husband. My life and my everything."

Shammas is reportedly an assistant vice president at Credit Suisse, but keeps a low profile otherwise: Even his Instagram, with just around 650 followers, is private, and he wears sunglasses in his profile photo.

A source told The Sun of Shammas, "He is a legitimate guy. He's not an actor, he's not in the entertainment industry, he manages funds for high net worth people at Credit Suisse."
