Joseph's Life

Joseph is a long lesson and is written so it can easily be divided into two lessons. Part one discusses Joseph being the favored son and his dreams, his brothers selling him, prison and becoming the governor in Egypt. Part two is about the events that happen with his brothers and being reunited with his father. Joseph is found in Genesis 37-50.

This first set of worksheets is for the students to understand Joseph's dream and to help memory by writing each brother's name In a star. These are in color and black & white. The far right is the completed teacher's visual although the brothers' names are not in any order. Also, Jacob and Rachel can be interchanged on the sun and moon. There is a blank worksheet and one for younger students to copy the names using dotted letters.

These coats can be used as a worksheet or a Match-It Game. There are instructions in the application pack, but the first one is the base. Print that and one of the others. The second coat has writing only for older students and the third one has pictures for younger students. Both of these can be mixed together though and put in an envelope to use as a review game for early arrivers. There are several in this series and can be kept on a table for students to put together any time. The last coat has the numbers and pictures if you want students to match numbers.

This is a Joseph's Life Sequencing Timeline. There is a completed one (right) for a teacher's visual, if you are keeping a notebook and just want it as a chart, or you do not like the cut and glue. If the students only put glue above the dotted line, they will have a lift-the-flap with the information under each photo.
