Model Liberty Ross Wears Vintage Black Wedding Gown and Huge Headpiece to Marry Jimmy Iovine (PHOTO)

Music mogul Jimmy Iovine and model Liberty Ross did not play by traditional wedding rules for their Valentine's Day nuptials. First, all female guests were asked to wear red (even Oprah Winfrey stuck to the request!) and the bride ditched a standard white gown for an unconventional black lace dress and sculptural headpiece.

The duo tied the knot in matching dark ensembles — the bride, 37, in a vintage Givenchy Haute Couture gown featuring a cap-sleeve sheer design. She teamed it with a long matching veil secured by a couture crown designed by her friend, milliner Stephen Jones. The groom, 62, chose a crushed velvet navy blue Tom Ford tuxedo with black lapel and bowtie.

The whole ceremony took place at record producer David Geffen's California home, and the invite list was unsurprisingly star-studded. Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Pharrell and Lady Gaga all were in attendance, and female guests adhered to the "wear red" dress code … aside from Lady Gaga, of course, who was seen wearing a plunging black dress and gloves in an Instagram photo with the groom's son Jamie.

One reason the bride may have ditched the traditional white gown for her big day is that she had already worn a gorgeous simple silk version the day before. Prior to their nuptials, the couple hosted "a small family luncheon" on the beach near their Malibu home, complete with a skywriter who spelled out "J Heart L" for the couple.

Currently, the newlyweds are enjoying their honeymoon and "are thrilled and very happy," a source tells PEOPLE.

Before meeting Iovine, Ross was married to director Rupert Sanders for 10 years prior to their highly-publicized divorce.
