About
The Leopold Museum is a unique treasure-house of Viennese Jugendstil, the Wiener Werkstätte and Expressionism. It is the most-visited museum of the city's hottest cultural site, the MuseumsQuartier, and it houses the most significant and largest Egon Schiele collection in the world, as well as masterworks by Secession founder Gustav Klimt. Tip: The museum's panorama windows offer a wonderful view of central Vienna with Maria Theresa Square and the Hofburg Palace.

    A Fine Gallery
This fine Gallery was one which I visited twice during my eight day stay on the City. It has a truly remarkable set of Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt artworks and is complimented by other fine works by their contemporary Austrian artist, including specifically Oscar Kokoschka. Easily accessible for wheelchair users and I afforded two hours plus for each visit. The Museum has two cafe's including one on it's roof top with fine views.

    Great museum in Vienna!
The Leopold Museum is an art museum specializing in modern Austrian art. We enjoyed our visit here very much. It is located in a cultural center called the Museumsquartier. It's an enclosed center holding several different museums, and is located very close to the Kunst Museum. We had difficulty finding it and had to ask several people how to find it (none of whom actually knew where it was), but we found it in the end. It's a lovely center, and the museum itself was most enjoyable.

    Amazing!
Do not miss this gorgeous museum! Beautiful architecture outside and an amazing colection! Art, porcelin, silver, furniture! Extremely well structurize presentation of among other things, the Secessionists. Buy a phone guide and set time for the museum.

Star attraction of the Museum Quarter
We really enjoyed our visit to the museum. An eclectic mixture of traditional and modern art, with something for everyone. Staff are friendly and helpful. Also, excellent value for 15 euros each. Thoroughly recommend.

Top Museum of "Fin di Siecle"
The Leopold Museum is a top institution for art lovers around the turn of the century. The museum is clearly organised and the collections are complemented by facilities such as a traditional gift shop and café. Admirers of Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele or Oskar Kokoschka, Koloman Moser, Gerstl and other representatives of late 19th and early 20th century art should not miss this place.

    Austrian art at its best
The Leopold museum was my favorite from our trip - expect a lot of existentialism from artists like Klimt and Schiele. The museum is really big, it can take you 3-4 hours to see all the art pieces. There is also a photobooth at level 0 and you can make some photos for 3€!

A definite on your museum tours
A terrific museum with wonderful exhibitions of work by Max Oppenheimer and Gabrielle Munter. The museum also has a very nice cafe serving healthy and delicious options. Despite the crowds on a Saturday, it was all pretty easy to maneuver around and even get a quick bite at the cafe in between viewing the exhibits.

A lovely museum well-worth the visit
Very nice museum with interesting exhibitions that we enjoyed. Some very fine pieces of art and some new pieces which we were not familiar but could enjoy regardless. The restaurant was also pretty good food-wise but the environment wasn’t the best.

The museum was very well organised, all relevant information was provided in English aside from German, including the descriptions of paintings. A lot to see and learn, as long as one is equipped with the headset since it was packed and therefore it was a little too loud to fully immerse oneself into the surroundings.
The view from the windows on the museums’ quarter is certainly worth checking out too!
The museum shop had a great variety to offer, so it is certainly worth stopping by before leaving. Some souvenirs were surprisingly inventive and the selection of books was also quite thoughtful.
The only thing that disappointed us was the long queue to get our clothes from the wardrobe and then to encounter yet another long queue to the toilet on the ground floor that had only 2 stalls and no soap.
Overall it is certainly a place to visit. However, some basic matters or convenience can be improved.

It was not my first or last time in Leopold Museum, but definitely worth doing. Permanent exhibition is a structure around which you are moving and seeing touch of different eras and periods.
In case you are not fan of art you could still enjoy the architect idea inside and out.

Very nice atmosphere. Many Schiele paintings, interesting furniture exhibitions. The museum was not too busy. The café had a nice selection of food and drinks.

Definitely make sure the Leopold Museum is on your itinerary if you like art and history. The interpretation is rich and informative, providing a superb historical overview and each artist is given a large biography to introduce their section of works. The quality of works is impressive but not overwhelming. No gallery fatigue here! Clothes and furniture were a surprise addition and it skilfully covers both the very famous whilst also introducing you to new artists and women!

Great museum. However the orientation for the Wien 1900 exhibition could have been made more clear, for example on which floor it starts and in which direction one should view the rooms. Another annoyance was the minutesness of the texts next to exhibits, but above all they were positioned without exception at the eye-level of a child, making it necessary to bend or practically kneel to read them. Exhausting and uncomfortable. Otherwise very interesting. Amazing Klimt and Schiele pictures

Great place with clean and elegant design. The body of works is huge. If I would go again, i'd do one floor at a time.
