The Bachelor’s Lauren Bushnell Marries Country Singer Chris Lane in “Secret Garden” Wedding
Bachelor alum Lauren Bushnell and country singer Chris Lane are officially husband and wife. The couple married Friday, October 25 in a “secret garden” wedding ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee. According to People, 170 guests watched the pair exchange vows indoors.
“I’ve just looked forward to the day for quite some time and I’m glad that it’s finally here,” Lane expressed to the mag. “I feel like I”m the luckiest guy in the world to be marrying her.” She echoed her husband’s sentiments by saying, “I feel like the luckiest girl.”
The couple started off their relationship as friends in 2015, and it wasn’t until a few years later that they connected romantically. In the interim, Bushnell ended up on Ben Higgins’ season of ABC’s The Bachelor and was his final rose recipient. The couple was engaged, but ultimately went their separate ways a year later.
In June, Lane proposed in Bushnell’s hometown of West Linn, Oregon. “I can’t stop smiling,” she expressed at the time. “I feel so incredibly blessed that every misstep, mistake and heartache has led me to you. I couldn’t be happier to call you mine, forever. The journey was well worth it. Thank you Christopher Eric Lane for softening my heart and making it whole. Never going to stop telling you how much I love you and I will hold onto you forever and ever! Lauren Lane has a nice ring to it.”
As part of the grand proposal, Lane fittingly penned a song for his future wife. “I can’t stop listening or looking down at my hand,” she concluded.
“It’s been so easy, she makes me laugh so hard, we have so much fun together,” Lane previously told Entertainment Tonight.
