Had dinner at Chica last night and we were seated at the bar. The food and drinks were great, we enjoyed it a lot. My comments are about the bar area. While I was eating my meal, I got splashed three different times by the bartender washing the glasses. The first time, I got water on my face, shoulder and top. No apologies provided and it continued to happen throughout my entire meal. It ruined the vibe.

I was expecting so much more as it is a Michelin Guide bar and I’ve seen good reviews! It wasn’t bad, but also wasn’t good, especially if you’ve eaten authentic Spanish food. The gambas was a sad take, the pulpo ala plancha was drowned in sauce (I was expecting a full octopus tentacle?) and the paella was tomato based (too much tomato based) and it was mushy. It was like eating risotto. The vibe of the place was nice though and the servers were friendly. Also, the drinks were pricier compared to the restos near the area. Will I go back again? No. Will I recommend it? Probably not. Was it good value? Not really.

I had a reservation here and despite being told after 1.5 hours that we need to give the table away soon, even the time we were actually sat there we felt extremely pressured by the staff. We were on a date and we couldnt talk for more than 2 minutes without being interrupted by 3 different waitresses always asking us if we wanted to order more and we had to respond to at least 1 question every 2 minutes. Even about having to give the table away before 2 hours was communicated to us more than once despite saying ok we get it we're leaving soon. Extreme pressure. Even after complaining about this I expected a small gesture or at least the manager visiting the table or something but all I got was a "sorry" and a $160 bill for 2 drinks and 4 small tapas plates, no dessert, and a minimum suggestion of 18% tip on the machine. If it was my place I would at least remove the tip option and not let the customer pay even more after a clear concern they communicated.

I was excited to try this place for the second time but I don’t think I will come back unless I am only coming for one cocktail or two. Don’t get me wrong, the service is great and people who work there are very attentive to guests. I don’t think the price justifies the food quantity and quality. You can find something better and cheaper in this area. Two of us spent 100 for 4 tiny plates without drinks - I think you need to spend 100 dollars each to be full and there are higher quality alternatives (aka. Lee) nearby.

The food was okay, but we had a terrible experience with our waitress who seemed to reject everything we requested. It was my birthday dinner, which I had booked a week ahead of time, but she gave us a table close to the washroom when there were many better spots available. We politely asked if we could store our birthday cake in the fridge, but she didn't seem to know anything and gave us a dirty look the second time we asked. However, the manager handled the issue right away, and the other staff were super friendly. He even gave us a free drink and a discount to apologize. Despite the initial problem, we still enjoyed our time there for the rest of the night.

Food was amazing. Service was not. My friends and I came on a Sunday night to celebrate a birthday. And there were a lot of gaps in the service overall. Drinks took a long time, sometimes forgotten. Not sure if it was because it was understaffed or if they typically staff light on a Sunday (seemed to only be 2 maybe 3 servers/bussers on the floor total), but we felt a lack of presence by the staff overall. They were very nice and sweet but very little guidance in the menu, forgot drinks, no one was ever asked if they wanted a second drink, and when told that one of friends hadn’t gotten her drinks after a half an hour, zero urgency or apology when getting her her drink - which was a simple pour of wine. This would’ve all been ok had it been super busy, but we saw the bartender on their phone constantly. Again we maybe thought she was looking up drink recipes or what have you, but at the very least for optics, it made for a bad look. To be honest we would’ve stayed for longer or gotten more drinks but didn’t get the opportunity to, nor did we want to. I’ll come back because of the food, but I’ll think twice before coming on a Sunday if that’s what it will be like.

I went chica for my birthday. First of all the seat was dirty. Food was good but I find it’s overpriced. Second of all, The server wasn’t helpful at all and staff keep coming to our table to take dishes away even though we told them that we are still working on them which was not a pleasant experience. Finally my friends told me later on that they contacted to the restaurant in advance and they said they will serve us a dessert with”happy birthday “ on it, however it never happened. I would not go back!

Great food and drinks, but the service was a bit slow and it was night club loud at 6pm. Bring your concert voice if you want to have a conversation across the table. Otherwise the decor and environment was enjoyable and the staff were very kind.

It’s quite expensive. The valentines menu says $99Pp but you share as a couple and the food portion is very small. The food came in cold. We reserved a table and asked to change and they could not accommodate even though we reserved. There are far better restaurants out there for value, would pass this one.

We were extremely disappointed with this experience. The portions were very small, especially for the price. For $100 per person, you would at least expect a dessert you wouldn’t have to share. The server repeatedly bumped into us when walking past because the tables were too close together. She even sprayed some cleaner onto our food while cleaning the table next to us. Overall not a great experience and would not return.

Decided to get the Winterloliciouus menu and it did not disappoint. The ingredients are high quality, cooked to perfection and each plate complimented the other. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back.✌️

It is too expensive for the portion size and we ordered a bread for a sauce of a plate and for 3 small slices (it was an extra small slices of bread, they charged us 7 dollars for the bread). It was the first restaurant that I have paid for a slice of bread, when we had ordered 6 more dishes.
