Sen. Kyrsten Sinema causes stir presiding in hot pink ‘Dangerous Creature’ shirt

Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema on Tuesday presided over the Senate while wearing a hot-pink shirt with the words “Dangerous Creature.”

The Democrat is known for her flashy fashion and regularly turns heads on Capitol Hill with bold outfits that clash with the frumpy grayscale of colleagues.

“You’re breaking the Internet!” Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) could be heard telling Sinema.

“Good!” she said.

Sinema’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Post regarding the meaning of the outfit.

She wore the shirt while presiding over the confirmation vote for Linda Thomas-Greenfield to be US ambassador to the United Nations.

Sinema, 44, is a centrist Democrat. She’s a graduate of Brigham Young University and also the first openly bisexual senator.

Sinema and fellow Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia have become important swing votes due to control of the Senate being evenly divided, with 50-50 ties broken by Vice President Kamala Harris.

She and Manchin oppose ending the 60-vote supermajority required for most legislation to pass the Senate and oppose raising the hourly US minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 in President Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 legislation. That provision is included in a House bill that’s expected to be sent to the Senate this week.
