On Friday, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker shared their first photos of their baby boy, Rocky, with a carousel on Instagram. The pictures show the two proud parents dressed in black taking care of the newborn, offering glimpses of his tiny feet, the back of his head as he's nursing, and his back as his dad leans in to kiss him. In one photo, the lights of their Christmas tree can be seen in the background.

Kardashian captioned the photos, “ROCKY 🖤.”

Both Kardashian and Barker have children from previous relationships; the POOSH founder shares three children with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, 13-year-old Mason, ten-year-old Penelope, and eight-year-old Reign. The Blink-182 drummer shares his 20-year-old son Landon, 17-year-old daughter Alabama, and 24-year-old step-daughter Atiana, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. The couple has been working to blend their big family together and things have been going well.

But the path to welcoming Rocky has been a challenging one. Both Kardashian and Barker have been very open about the difficulties of going through the IVF process and their decision to step back from cycles before finally conceiving their son. After she successfully became pregnant, The Kardashian's star faced fetal surgery a few weeks before his birth.

“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” she wrote on Instagram of the surgery. “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”

Kardashian continued, “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”
