The King's Man showed the origins of the Kingsman agency during World War I. Orlando Oxford (Ralph Fiennes) assembled a network of servants that acted as spies, just in time for the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the starting point of the war. He then used his network to combat the Flock and its Shepherd. The King's Man put Orlando near several historical figures, like Woodrow Wilson and Rasputin. The ending of the movie showed Orlando purchasing the famous tailor shop the agency operates out of and marked the start of the Kingsman, placing it as the first installment in the series' chronology.

Kingsman: The Secret Service was the first to adapt the comics into live-action, and it did so in an explosive style. The first Kingsman movie follows Eggsy, a poor kid who dropped out of the military to take care of his mother, as he is recruited into the Kingsman by Harry. Eggsy then learned that his father had been an agent for the Kingsman, and began his trials and training to join the agency. Harry shows Eggsy that there is more to being a spy than suits and gadgets, and gives him the series' famous lesson, "manners maketh man." Kingsman: The Secret Service was the beginning of Eggsy's time as an agent in the modern day, which places it in the middle of the three movies chronologically.

The most recent movie in the franchise's chronology is Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which saw Eggsy's second major mission. The film's villain, Poppy, destroyed the tailor shop while also killing every agent in Britain aside from Eggsy and Merlin. That catastrophic attack led the pair to the Statesman, the American counterpart to the Kingsman. Eggsy also discovered that Harry had not died at the end of the last movie, and helped him recover his memories after his injury. Kingsman: The Golden Circle's ending gave Eggsy a wife, the Statesman a distillery in Scotland, and the Kingsman a new tailor shop.

While Kingsman: The Golden Circle currently stands as the most recent installment in the franchise, Eggsy's story will be concluded in the upcoming Kingsman: The Blue Blood. Director Matthew Vaughn has revealed some of Kingsman: The Blue Blood's plot details, and the sequel should hit theaters in the next few years. Fans can brush up on the previous Kingsman movies either in release order or by chronological order ahead of the next movie's release.
