I hate waiting but I am going with Friday after 4pm. Most admissions department would rather not hear from disappointed applicants until Monday.

I am not going to predict any dates, but I am curious how much autonomy UNC and NC State have to release admissions decisions.
For instance, I would be shocked if decisions were not released this week, because some students could change course based on a denial, waitlist or deferral and some of the more competitive UNC schools under the system have regular decision application deadlines on February 1st like App State and UNC-W.
my son is a sophomore now. He found out 2 years ago on a Wednesday around 4 or 5 PM.Good luck to everyone. It’s a GREAT school.

They do. My son asked for a “Document Review”. That’s where someone from Admissions sits down (Zoom) and goes over your application and how you were scored. It’s VERY HOLISTIC and from what I gathered, his essays & LOR were very important. He is now a sophomore. And he was also out of state kid. LOVES IT.

Sure, both love it. UNC - very academic and intense, but manageable. UGA - FUN, FUN, FUN. Did I mention FUN? He’s learning a lot but also partaking in the activities. Great downtown atmosphere.

I am told decisions will be Friday. My oldest daughter is lucky enough to go there and it was also around 3 or 4pm.
How do you know it will be Friday?

most likely at 4pm. If there is no movement or changes in the portal by 3:30 I would suspect it isn’t going to happen today.
