    Katharine McPhee's birthplace is Los Angeles, California, the United States. Her parents, Daniel McPhee, a professional in television production, and Peisha McPhee welcomed her on March 25, 1984. Interestingly, in 2011 her mom started coaching participants in vocal on the show American Idol. Katharine is not the only child in her family – she grew up alongside an elder sister named Adriana.

    As a 12-year-old girl, she alongside her family left for Sherman Oaks, city Los Angeles.
