Katharine McPhee trimmed David Foster‘s hair during their Instagram Live concert on Wednesday. The “Waitress” star, 35, decided to chop the 70-year-old songster’s locks after their opening tune.
“The update is I cut your hair,” McPhee explained to the audience as she began to trim the top of his head. “It’s just a minor adjustment.”
“She did an amazing job — look at this!” Foster remarked. “She did a great, great job. My hair was getting so long. I was starting to look like Einstein!”
The duo started their daily concerts two weeks ago to help fans stuck in quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic. They were set to go on tour together later this year, but had to cancel their plans.
McPhee and Foster have been together for just three years, with their first wedding anniversary approaching. They tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in London in June 2019.
They began dating in the spring of 2017, and Foster proposed in July 2018.
