The name of "K Records"

As I recall, it has something to do with a music review publication and/or record store in Olympia shortly before the label was founded. It could be something like: there was a music store called I Records, a magazine called J Music, and then Calvin Johnson's record label, K Records.

This is a sketchy attempt at recalling the history of the K Records name. It is explained in the film "The Shield Around the K"

I've taken off the sentance about the K Records name being only known by Calvin Johnson.

Fair use rationale for Image:K Records logo.jpg[edit]

Image:K Records logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:57, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Looking for good sources[edit]

Only have one source at the moment, but intend to diversify as I go. Hoping to get this article up a notch in its quality rating. Let me know if you have any sources you can recommend!

Roster[edit]

Is there any rhyme or reason to the way the roster is arranged? There are several missing entries that can be updated from https://shop.krecs.com/pages/all-artists but I'm hesitant to mess with the existing columns. Suppafly (talk) 21:11, 29 November 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Just alphabetical order, as far as I can tell? -- Owlsmcgee (talk) 03:10, 30 November 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I think you're right, it threw me off that Adrian Orange was in the A's and the others were sorted by last name first. I should have looked at it more closely before commenting. Suppafly (talk) 14:24, 30 November 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
