Grimes revealed in her Vanity Fair cover story released in March 2022 that she and Elon Musk secretly welcomed a second child, a baby girl named Exa Dark Sideræl, via surrogate in December 2021.
She also told the publication that she and Musk have “always wanted at least three or four” children together.
Olivia Munn and John Mulaney
Olivia Munn and John Mulaney quietly welcomed their first child — a son — on Nov. 24, TMZ reported on Dec. 17.
The baby boy is the first child for both Munn and Mulaney, who started dating earlier in 2021 amid his divorce from artist Anna Marie Tendler.
The comedian announced the actress’ pregnancy on a September episode of “Late Night with Seth Meyers, saying: “Then, in the spring, I went to Los Angeles and met and started to date a wonderful woman named Olivia. And we’re having a baby together. I was nervous when I was about to say the news. … I’m gonna be a dad!”
Christina Ricci and Mark Hampton
Christina Ricci has welcomed her first child with husband Mark Hampton. The Emmy nominee, who is already a mom to son Freddie with her ex James Heerdegen, announced the happy news on Dec. 8.
“Baby Cleo is here we are so in love with her also she has the most incredible dad imaginable,” Ricci captioned an adorable Instagram video of the newborn napping in a pink beanie.
Marques Houston and Miya Dickey
“Sister, Sister” actor and R&B singer Marques Houston welcomed a daughter named Zara with his wife, Miya Dickey, on Dec. 2.
“Miya chose the name Zara because she just felt like it was exotic. [There was] no special reason,” Houston told Us Weekly. “She just wanted our girl to have a memorable name that wasn’t the average name. It still feels surreal, like, it hasn’t set in yet that we are actually not just babysitting one of our friends’ kids. But not getting any sleep definitely reminds us that we are now parents.”
Morgan and Bode Miller
Olympic skier Bode Miller and his wife, Morgan, welcomed their sixth child on Dec. 6.
“She’s perfect and bringing her into this world was a perfect way to close this chapter of growing our family,” the pair told People magazine. “Our hearts are so full.”
The Millers are already parents to sons Nash and Easton, and identical twin boys Asher and Aksel. They lost their daughter Emeline in a tragic drowning accident in 2018. She was just 19 months old at the time of her death.
Derek and Hannah Jeter
Former New York Yankee Derek Jeter and wife, Hannah, welcomed their third child, daughter River Rose Jeter, Dec. 2, according to the Hall-of-Famer’s website.
River joins big sisters Bella, 4, and Story, 2.
Hannah did not appear to be pregnant during Derek’s September 2021 HOF induction, leading some to believe they welcomed the newborn via surrogate.

Seth Meyers’ wife, Alexi Ashe, quietly gave birth to the couple’s third child — a daughter named Adelaide — in September. The talk show host revealed the exciting news with the help of sons Ashe and Axel during the Thanksgiving 2021 broadcast of “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
“One, two, three, surprise!” the older boys dressed as turkeys exclaimed before giving their little sister — also decked out in turkey gear — kisses on the cheek.
James and Kimberly Van Der Beek
James Van Der Beek announced on Nov. 22 that his wife, Kimberly, gave birth to the couple’s sixth child at their home in Texas. The happy news of baby Jeremiah’s arrival came after Kimberly suffered from two heartbreaking miscarriages in 2019 and 2020.
“Life is so full I don’t have the words. Jeremiah Van Der Beek, thank you for being here,” Kimberly wrote on Instagram following the birth.
Aaron Carter and Melanie Martin
Aaron Carter and fiancée Melanie Martin welcomed their first child — son Prince Lyric Carter — via C-section on Nov. 22, following a 13-hour labor.
“Prince is precious I love you son. “Bachelor in Paradise” stars Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt — who documented their nearly two-year struggle to conceive on social media — welcomed their first baby together on Nov. 20.
“My whole world. Born 11/20/2021 & finally home with the rest of the @thewendtgang,” Loch posted via Instagram.
Freida Pinto and Cory Tran
Freida Pinto and her photographer husband welcomed a baby boy in November. The actress announced the happy news on social media, revealing the newborn’s name as Rumi-Ray.
“Thank you for our sweet boy,” Tran wrote in an Instagram post following his son’s birth. “I’m in awe of you more and more every day. Watching you give birth to Rumi-Ray was truly a miracle, you are such a warrior.”
Rumi-Ray is the couple’s first baby.
Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins
Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins, welcomed their fourth daughter, Lillie Carolina, on Nov. 15.
“Watching a child being born is legit a miracle,” the country singer wrote on Instagram. “4 under 6 here we go!”

Scott Speedman and Lindsay Rae Hofman became parents for the first time after welcoming a daughter together in October.
“Pfeiffer Lucia Speedman. Born at home 10/26/21,” Speedman, 46, wrote in an Instagram post at the time.
They announced that Hofmann was pregnant in May. Speedman and Hofmann have been linked as a couple since 2017.

“Today” show meteorologist Dylan Dreyer and husband Brian Fichera welcomed their third child in September: a baby boy named Russell James Fichera.
Their little bundle of joy, which arrived six weeks early, joins big brothers Calvin and Oliver.

Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne welcomed their first child together, a daughter named La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, in September.

The couple announced in May — on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s third wedding anniversary — they were expecting.
Mozzi is already a father to son Christopher Woolf from a previous relationship.

Hewitt, 42, announced the arrival of son Aidan James on Sept. 9 on Instagram. He joins big sister, Autumn, 7, and son, Atticus, 6.
She admitted earlier this year that they “had always been open to a third.”
Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender
Alicia Vikander revealed that she and husband Michael Fassbender welcomed a baby earlier this year. The news comes on the heels of the celeb couple being snapped with a tot in Paris and Ibiza.
The fiercely private pair who married in 2017 has not revealed the baby’s sex.
Danielle Fishel and Jensen Karp
Former “Boy Meets World” star Danielle Fishel gave birth to her second son, Keaton Joseph, on Aug. 29. She and her husband, Jensen Karp, also share 2-year-old Adler.
“He was born on his deceased grandfather Larry’s birthday (like I prayed for!) and his middle name is an homage to his great grandfather who is still here to meet him at almost 98 years old,” Fishel wrote on Instagram.

Elle King gave birth to her first baby, her funnyman father Rob Schneider announced in a now-deleted social media post on Sept. 1. The new bundle of joy, who the singer had with fiancé Dan Tooker, comes after she suffered two miscarriages.
Emily VanCamp and Josh Bowman
Emily VanCamp and Josh Bowman surprised fans when they announced that they welcomed a baby girl together in August.
“Welcome to the world our sweet little Iris. Our hearts are full” VanCamp wrote in a post to Instagram at the time.
VanCamp and Bowman, who met on set of their show “Revenge” in 2011 where they played each other’s on-screen love interests, got engaged in May 2017 and tied the knot a year later.

“Queer Eye” star Tan France celebrated the arrival of his first son, Ismail France on Instagram in August. He and husband Rob welcomed the boy on July 10, four months after they shared the news they were expecting a baby via surrogate.

Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and her husband Andrew East announced the arrival of their baby boy on July 20.
The couple tied the knot in 2016 and welcomed their daughter, Drew Hazel, in 2019.

They named the child Ender Ridley Aydin.

“Glee” alum Matthew Morrison and his wife Renee Puente welcomed their second child — a daughter named Phoenix Monroe — on June 28, sharing the news with fans in July.

“Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot gave birth to her third child — a baby girl named Daniella — with husband Yaron Varsano in June. The couple wed in 2008 and are also parents to 9-year-old daughter Alma and 4-year-old daughter Maya.

“Love & Hip Hop” stars Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena welcomed their second child together, he announced on June 29, about a month after Mena filed for divorce.
“MR Straittt jr is here!!” Samuels wrote on Instagram, referencing his 2020 album “Straitt” but without confirming the child’s name. On another Instagram photo of the rapper holding his newborn son, the proud dad joked, “Another me…that’s all the world needed.”

Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, the actor’s daughter Clara revealed in June.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their second child, a daughter named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, on June 4. The name pays tribute to both Queen Elizabeth II, whose family nickname is Lilibet, and Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

“Pretty Little Liars” star Troian Bellisario and her husband Patrick J. Adams secretly welcomed a baby girl named Elliott in May.
The couple announced the exciting news in June, with the “Suits” star writing on social media, “+1…..Welcome to the funhouse, Ms. Elliot Rowena Adams. May your life be as unique and exciting as your arrival.”
Bellisario added, “A whole new ERA for this family. Welcome, my love.”

Fantasia Barrino and husband Kendall Taylor welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Keziah London Taylor, on May 23.
“Happy Birthday to our little Angel 5-23-21 and may God keep and cover you for the rest of your days,” Barrino, who has two other children from previous relationships, announced at the time. Taylor also has a child from a previous relationship.
The couple, who wed in 2015 after dating for only three weeks, were open about their struggle to conceive prior to welcoming their daughter into the world.
Joel Edgerton and Christine Centenera
Joel Edgerton became a dad — and almost missed his child’s birth — in 2021. “I was very nervous because I was working in Queensland and there are some border issues with Sydney and Queensland that pop up,” the Australia native told Oprah Winfrey in May. “I was getting very nervous that I’d get stuck.”
Luckily, the “Zero Dark Thirty” star made it on time.
The baby is the first for Edgerton and his partner, stylist Christine Centenera, who got together in 2018.

The reality star first teased her little girl’s name in April, telling fans that it came from Proverbs 16:24.

“Twilight” star Kellan Lutz and Brittany Gonzales — who married in 2017 — became parents on Feb. 22.
The happy news comes after the couple announced last February that they’d lost a baby seven months into a pregnancy.
“The day she came into the world it was snowing, raining, and freezing, but that night she was born and we woke up to sun, clear skies, and winter melting away,” she wrote. “It was so symbolic considering this time last year was literally winter for our souls only to be met one year later with the brightest sunshine.
