Clark Terry was a titan of the trumpet, but did you know he loved to sing as well? On this episode, we're taking a listen to music from the bop master. Terry worked with everyone from the Duke Ellington Orchestra to Coleman Hawkins, and he spent the later part of his life as a mentor to the next generation of jazz greats.
Much like his colleague Dizzy Gillespie, Terry would sometimes take the mike on gigs - and on the show, we'll be sampling the master in all his forms both with the trumpet and the flugelhorn as well as scatting along with the Oscar Peterson trio.
