Jason Statham certainly has a commanding presence in his movies, but how tall is the actor? British film star Jason Statham is best known for his action roles but his first brush with fame came back in the early 1990s while he was working as a background dancer – believe it or not – and appeared in music videos including The Shamen’s “Comin’ On” and “Run To The Sun” by Erasure. Luckily for Statham, he didn’t have to rely on his dancing career for too long as he was soon cast in his breakout role as Bacon in Guy Ritchie’s hit 1998 crime-comedy Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels.

Jason Statham went on to star in two more crime movies directed by Ritchie – Snatch in 2000 and Revolver in 2005 – but action films soon became his bread and butter. Some of Statham’s earliest action roles came playing Sergeant Jericho Butler in John Carpenter's Ghosts Of Mars - he was originally cast in the lead but the studio opted for Ice Cube instead, who was a bigger name at the time - and Evan Funsch in The One, the latter of which was the first of five films he’d star in alongside Jet Li. In 2002 he was cast as driver-for-hire Frank Martin in Luc Besson’s The Transporter which would soon become his first action franchise when sequels arrived in 2005 and 2008.

By now, Jason Statham has a few action franchises under his belt. In 2010 he joined The Expendables franchise which features a bevy of fellow action stars including Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Next to his towering co-stars Dolph Lundgren or Schwarzenegger – who measure in at over 6 foot 4 inches and 6 foot 1 inch, respectively – Statham can look pretty short. According to Celeb Heights, however, Jason Statham is a perfectly average 5 foot 8 inches and ¾.

Lundgren and Schwarzenegger aren’t the only tall co-stars Jason Statham has acted alongside. His other big action franchise Fast & Furious co-stars former wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who Statham recently appeared with in the spin-off Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. Standing at a whopping 6 foot 5 inches tall, Johnson has a habit of making most of his co-stars look small.

Thanks to the success of the Fast & Furious spin-off, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham will soon reunite in an upcoming Hobbs & Shaw sequel. The follow-up will see the pair reprise their roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw and although a release date has yet to be announced, Johnson has confirmed the movie is in active development.
