Jason Momoa Super Bowl Commercial 2020

A Super Bowl ad starring Jason Momoa has left viewers shocked and “unsettled”.

The clip, unveiled on Sunday night during the game, sees the Aquaman star advertise Rocket Mortgage, a popular online lender in the US.

In the video, Momoa riffs off the idea that home is where he can “kick back and be totally comfortable in [his] own skin”.

As he talks to the camera, Momoa indeed gets comfortable – shedding the muscles and the impressive stature that have become a key part of his image over the years.

Instead, the actor reveals a much slimmer (and evidently computer-generated) frame.

At the end of the clip, he even sheds part of his long hair, leaving him with a balding head instead.

He’s joined at the end of the clip by his wife Lisa Bonet, who rescues him from an ill-fated fitness session.

Viewers reacted strongly to the ad on Twitter, with one person writing: "This Jason Momoa Rocket Mortgage commercial is really disturbing please don’t ever show it again.”

“Lisa Bonnet is the only thing that saved that weird a** Jason Momoa commercial. I’m honestly unsettled [sic],” another person tweeted.

Some, however, found the ad hilarious, with one person commenting: "So Jason Momoa is in the lead with funniest commercial.....”
