This article contains discussions/references to murder, physical and sexual abuseCriminal Minds tends to stick to a villain-of-the-week formula and one of these memorable criminals is played by Jackson Rathbone. Criminal Minds follows the Behavioral Analysis Unit (Bau), a team within the FBI who uses profiling and behavioral detection to find the culprits behind America’s most heinous crimes. The series has always taken a villain-of-the-week style of storytelling approach, introducing criminals usually over one or two episodes. The most memorable unsubs (unidentified subjects) in Criminal Minds usually had longer arcs, but some like Rathbone’s made a strong impression with much less screen time.
Jackson Rathbone’s role in Criminal Minds came right in the middle of his time playing Jasper Hale in the Twilight film saga (which is based on the books by Stephanie Meyer). As part of the massively popular and successful vampire franchise, Rathbone's Jasper was...

"He's never going to stop... you can't save him." "But I can save our island." Saban Films has revealed an official trailer for The Island, another trashy B-movie action thriller – not to be confused with Michael Bay's sci-fi thriller The Island of 2005. This will be out in July for anyone interested in watching. From the stunt coordinator / director Shaun Paul Piccinino, who you have never heard of and never seen any of his other movies anyway. When his brother is killed, LAPD officer Mark (Michael J. White) leaves the city to return to the island he grew up on. Seeking answers and ultimately vengeance, he soon finds himself in a bloody battle with the corrupt tycoon who's taken over the island paradise. Starring Michael Jai White, along with Jackson Rathbone, Gillian White, Gabriel 'G-Rod' Rodriguez, Cami Storm, Wayne Gordon, Gabriel Rios, and Edoardo Costa as Manuel. This junk should...

The Twilight Saga is full of moments of foreshadowing, and there are two in the first book of the series that teased two crucial moments in New Moon. Stephenie Meyer shared her version of vampires and werewolves in the Twilight book series, which took readers to a world where these creatures co-exist with humans. The main focus of the Twilight series is the toxic relationship between vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and mortal Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), who had to defend their relationship from both vampires and werewolves, but mostly from a powerful and dangerous group of vampires known as the Volturi.
Edward and Bella went through many ups and downs throughout the Twilight Saga, and one of their most dramatic moments happened in the second movie, New Moon. Concerned about Bella’s safety but refusing to turn her into a vampire, Edward broke up with her, sending her into...

Writer and director Phil Blattenburg has done a good job here to create a World War II movie set ten years after the end of the war. That might sound a bit strange but Condor’s Nest looks and feels very much like a World War II movie but takes place a decade later. We follow an American aviator who is out for revenge and on the search for Nazi war criminals. But he soon gets mixed up in much more than just that.
The opening scene of Condor’s Nest is possibly the best scene of the whole movie. It has a hint of Tarantino to it but is a bit less dialogue and a bit less subtle about things. This scene is during World War...

Movies about WWII and the Nazi's creating some sort of supernatural entity/soldier/curse to help them win the war have become quite common over the past few years and while the staying power and quality of these varies wildly, once in a while one comes along that surpasses expectation. WarHunt is definitely one of those.
Written and directed by Mauro Borrelli, WarHunt stars Robert Knepper as Sergeant Brewer, a seasoned veteran who leads a group of soldiers into Germany's Black forest to secure the top-secret cargo that was lost when a US military cargo plane crashed. Among his soldiers is Walsh (Jackson Rathbone), a soldier with specialized training that will prove helpful to this particular mission.

During his 1980s and ’90s heyday as a frightfully prolific star of blood-and-thunder direct-to-video fare, Wings Hauser once aptly described his target audience as “the microwave-burrito guys at 2 a.m. with a beer in their hands” — and, presumably, a Vcr remote switch nearby. Nowadays, that audience can digitally stream their B-movies of choice. But while the favored cuisine of these undiscriminating customers might have changed, the cinematic product they consume remains pretty much the same, albeit enhanced by better production values and, with all due respect to Mr. Hauser, superior star power.
All of which brings us to “WarHunt,” a modestly diverting mashup of WWII actioner and horror thriller that would not have been out of place on a New Release shelf at Blockbuster not so terribly long ago. Wait, scratch that: It would have been a standout on the shelf, if only when compared to the many lesser titles stocked around it.

"I promise I'll get us all out of here!" Saban Films has debuted an official trailer for an action thriller horror feature titled WarHunt, from filmmaker Mauro Borrelli. This is arriving on VOD in January, taking that usual slot (earlier this year it was another WWII action thriller horror feature called Shadow in the Cloud). WarHunt has a similar vibe to Dog Soldiers or the more recent Overlord. A US military plane crash lands in the German forest during World War II. As the soldiers venture into the forest, they discover dead bodies with organs missing and mysterious signs. Soon they start to find some kind of demons out there. But what exactly is it?! The cast includes Mickey Rourke, Jackson Rathbone, Robert Knepper, Josh Burdett, Alex Mills, Fredrik Wagner, Matt Mella, Timo Willman, and Ben McKeown. Oh damn this actually looks pretty good! It leans into the supernatural a bit more than Overlord,...

"A mixtape is a message from the maker to the listener." That is indeed an accurate description. Netflix has debuted an official trailer for a nostalgic dramedy film titled Mixtape, the latest from filmmaker Valerie Weiss. As the world approaches Y2K, a quirky 12-year-old sets out on a journey to find songs on a mixtape made by her late parents. When a young girl accidentally destroys the mixtape that belonged to her mother, she sets out to track down each of the obscure songs on the cassette. The film stars Gemma Brooke Allen as Beverly, with Audrey Hsieh, Olga Petsa, Jackson Rathbone, plus Nick Thune and Julie Bowen. As cute as this looks, it's pretty much like hitting gold in the nostalgia mine - combining late 90s nostalgia with cassette-tape nostalgia all in one! "What's the deal with the water?" Dark Star Pictures has released the first official trailer for The Wall of Mexico, which originally premiered at the SXSW Film Festival last year. From filmmakers Zachary Cotler & Magdalena Zyzak (Maya Dardel) comes an intriguing, strange film about a wealthy Mexican-American family and their water. Jackson Rathbone stars as a handyman who is hired by the Aristas, who are not well-liked by the townspeople - something to do with the mysterious water well Don guards at night. As the water level drops from possible theft, the family decide to build a massive wall. The film's cast includes Esai Morales, Marisol Sacramento, Carmela Zumbado, Alex Menses, and Xander Berkley. There's a lot of intense close-up shots in this trailer, which makes it all the more confusing to figure out what exactly is going on. Is it about water or about the daughters? Or is it about something else going on?...

Zac Garred in ‘The Seance.’
While most actors around the world are having an enforced rest due to the pandemic, Zac Garred is in demand. After shooting the horror film The Seance in Pennsylvania, the LA-based actor is heading to Montana next week for the drama Zero Road.
“I’m very grateful for the opportunities as it has been a sad state of affairs here in the Us,” says Garred, who first went to LA for pilot season in 2014. “I had a few mates in the industry who had to bail and head back to Australia.”
In first-time director/producer Chance Sanchez’s Zero Road he is cast as Josh, a fat drug dealer described as a 1990s boy band reject.
The semi-autobiographical tale centres on a gifted teen who struggles to survive poverty while supporting his mother who suffers from a meth addiction.

Though production around the world has shut down amid the ongoing global health crisis, one movie has, against all odds, wrapped shooting. Starring Mickey Rourke, the World War II fantasy film “Warhunt” has, according to Variety, finished production while filming in Riga, the capital of Latvia, where cast and crew were allowed to continue working under strict guidelines.

The country has seen only 12 deaths so far, along with more than 260 recoveries.

World War II fantasy horror movie “Warhunt,” starring Mickey Rourke, has wrapped after it continued shooting during the Covid-19 crisis.
The crew on the project, which shot in Riga, capital of Latvia, were allowed to continue working by abiding by government guidelines. These included having to don facemasks and gloves, having their temperature taken twice a day, social distancing, and disinfecting equipment.
Rourke says: “I came to Riga to work and this thing (Covid-19) was so out of control, but everyone was so great.”
Yu-Fai Suen, one of the producers, says Rourke’s dates had to be adjusted. “We had to rearrange the schedule for Mickey Rourke as the country was closing its borders, and luckily he agreed to fly early to beat the closure, and we rescheduled his shoot days to accommodate this change.”

The movie industry and its loyal fans have a lot to say about the planned use of a digitally resurrected James Dean performance.
Through the use of CGI technology, filmmakers are readying to return the iconic actor to the big screen — 64 years after his untimely death. Dean died at the age of 24 in 1955 when he was involved in a head-on collision in California while driving his Porsche.
For the upcoming Vietnam War era film Finding Jack, directors Anton Ernst and Tati Golykh secured the rights to Dean’s likeness from his family, casting him in a secondary role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Here’s a horrible trailer for a movie starring Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Series) wherein the dead eyed creep vibe he rocked in Twilight really paid off for this disgusting movie. This torture-porn style pile of crap made me grimace through the entire trailer. I can’t imagine actually watching the whole stupid thing. It will be heading to Cannes this year, which is happening for the next two weeks, and I hope it gets panned.
Deadline reports the following synopsis for the movie:
It explores the dangers of popular phone apps among teens and the frightening pervasiveness of sexual predators in modern society. Arcuri plays Chelsea, a high school introvert, who is abducted through a social media app by a charming and handsome man who calls himself Brad, played by Rathbone. Chelsea is forced to look like other girls Brad holds captive in his boarded-up house. The high-schooler desperately...

As a horror fan you might imagine I do just as much reading as I do sitting back and watching flicks on my couch. Well, maybe not. But I promise I do! I especially dig a solid short story, and one of my favorites is Hellraiser and Candyman creator Clive Barker's monster-on-the-loose tale Rawhead Rex. The story was initially adapted for the big screen by director George Pavlou back in 1987, and from the sound of it, the underappreciated monster movie might be getting a reboot soon. The latest issue of The Dark Side Magazine features a lengthy interview with Pavlou who says this about his original flick.
"After 30 years and with the film finally out on Blu-ray and the fans so enthusiastic for it, well, it's just pleased me enormously. For years I've been watching this horrible degraded, nasty 4K format version on YouTube and it was just depressing...

During their tour, they made a pit stop at the very spot where Bella and Edward first fell in love. Who can forget the iconic lion and the lamb line? Even Rathbone can't help but get a little nostalgic about the whole thing. See the exclusive video above.

The Cullen family is back together again! Almost 10 years after Twilight was released in theaters, the cast had a magical reunion at Nycc on Sunday. Director Catherine Hardwicke was joined by a few of the film's stars, Kellan Lutz (Emmett), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper), and Edi Gathegi (Laurent), as they talked about the impact of the franchise as well as a few of their favorite parts from filming.
Of course, Lutz and Rathborne weren't the only members of the Cullen family to make an appearance - Bella and Edward also made a special cameo. While Kristen Stewart sent in a prerecorded video message, Robert Pattinson surprised the crowd by calling in on Skype. Needless to say, the crowd was feeling like 13-year-olds all over again. See some of the best moments from the panel ahead!

Director Catherine Hardwicke and the cast reflect on Twilight changing the industry for the better at Nycc anniversary panel.
It was both a remarkably unique and familiar story a decade ago: a film largely considered by its studio to be a “niche” risk, in this case for the teenage girl demographic, suddenly opened bigger than anyone expected. Flush with success, the trendsetting film, Twilight, spawned an immediate slew of sequels and an industry playing copycat catchup. Yet it wasn’t all sunshine and good feelings; the most painful fallout is that a hit movie viewed only marginally above an indie production by its studio also quickly loses its female director. Despite Catherine Hardwicke being an award-winning director, who also enjoyed major cache for directing Thirteen, she was quickly removed from the Twilight franchise and all of the subsequent four sequels were directed by men.
