Sorry to disagree with post 1 but a lot of Lanzarote’s key tourist sites can’t be reached easily (if at all) by public bus.

Timanfaya National Park (the most famous site) is a prime example of this. If you’re not willing to hire a car, coach tours are your next best option.

If you can drive, then its best to hire a car, Lanzarote is one of the easiest places to drive round that i have ever been to, roads are never to busy and its so easy to find your way around plus you get to see parts of the Island that the tours just don't go to.

If you can’t drive then yeah do a couple of tours to see the places the public buses don’t go to. Still, you can go to Yaiza, Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carmen and Arrecife from PB.

As far as I know you still have to change in Arrecife to go to other parts of the island. Timed right you can do this easily enough and visit Teguise the town, and many other places.
