Spent just one night at this Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Chicago. The location could not be better: just 2 blocks from Michigan Avenue shopping, across the street from the mall with Nordstroms on Michigan, and within a block or two of many resturaunts, boutiques, and a movie theater. The Red Line L is right out front. For the hotel breakfast resturaunt you go downstairs to The Weber Grill, where breakfast includes Buffet and Cook-to-Order choices; a good value in a nice convenient setting. The hotel lobby is small but functional and the rooms are clean and large enough with a small coffee bar, desk and lounge chair. The bed is top-notch as in any Hilton. Bathroom is clean and fixtures still appear new. Only two small complaints about the room: a noisy AC fan and a humming mini-bar fridge, both of which the front desk said they would attend to and credit back 2,500 Hilton Honor Points to my account for the trouble. My only real complaint would be the price to park...$42 per day without in and out privliges; the same as anywhere in downtown Chicago but still annoying! At least the garage is attached to the Hotel. Overall, this is a busy and somewhat noisy property as you would expect in the heart of a great city. But it is well located, clean and safe and a reasonable value.
