Is applying Early Decision to NYU worth it?

Education & Certifications

From what I’ve heard, NYU Stern is regarded as a top 5 undergrad finance school and places well for IB / Consulting.

I have the stats to be competitive for regular admission but the dropping acceptance rate worries me. Would it be wise to apply early to try and get admission to Stern for Finance?

I come from an upper middle class family that has saved enough money to send me to any college comfortably. That being said, we don’t want to overpay for a degree, as 4 years at NYU would amount to around 200,000-225,000.

It is worth noting that I am in state for UT Austin, which also has a great undergrad business program and places relatively well for IB. Attending McCombs would be significantly cheaper, but admission is also less guaranteed.

Wondering if the benefits that come with attending Stern justifies that big a price tag as opposed to my state school.
