Checking in for the year. Unprepared as all hell. Not a single camera or stand out as of yet. Had our second little one back in may and man, I thought I was busy before lol. Soon though I’ll have stands and cameras up pumped for this thread by far my favorite of the year.
All 12 stands hung and cams get ran year round. Ready to go. Might pick up another pack of broadheads. Tons of doe and young bucks and a few possible shooters. Live in Carroll county but also hunt Jefferson and Columbiana. Drew a hard to draw new Hampshire moose tag so I'll be up there 8 days trying to get a bull.

Man you guys are definitely making me feel a lot better about slacking so far this year. Glad I’m not the only one lol. My stands are all up, but I’ve been taking down all my ladder sticks and loosening all the straps in my stands. Not as much work as starting from scratch but still gonna take me a couple weekends to get everything up and tightened on 4 farms. Still getting more and more pumped every day tho. Me and Tim/OH did some shooting on Friday and to say we’re ready for the season is an understatement. He’s been getting some real nice bucks on cam this year too. Hope to see that hero pic this year fo sho!!

Ah that’s a good reminder there is one thing I am prepared for I guess lol. Put lucky stops on the sr6 a couple weeks ago. Got the bow in the press and had to put one twist in a cable and she’s right back in time and shooting darts.

I just told the wife that I need to put up some stands soon, so I’m definitely slacking with y’all lol…..had a gd time shooting with you man, ended up going to my local range yesterday morning and shooting some more

I’m in again this year! Cameras have been pretty slow, but that’s not unusual for my hunting properties. The wife and I each shot a doe on a nuisance permit with our bows and packing up next weekend for a Maine bear hunt! Here’s to another fun season!

Well, the new thread made me feel enough like a degenerate to get out and check a couple stands and refresh some batteries today. D@mn was it hot and miserable. I wish I would have done it a couple months earlier, my mineral stump has been hammered and the water hole near by looked like a hog slop. I’ll probably get 47,000 pictures of trash pandas on my newly dropped corn tonight, but at least I feel better about myself right now!

Glad to see this thread started! I’m in like Flynn boys! By the way, y’all have some nice ones showing up on camera and I’m looking forward to seeing y’all posing with them. I hate to say it, but I ain’t got a single thing ready for the season. Due to having my second child back in June, it’s been nothing but diapers and formula. No time for stands and deer cams. I need to start sweet talking my wife now so maybe she will sign my permission slip in time for October/November. Lol

Anyone ever heard of bucks chasing does in august? Happened last night. And, I whacked the buck with my car. Broke his back leg. He was maybe a 2.5 year old 8 point. Doe was 50 yds crossing the road Slowed down to about 35 mph. He jumped out about 3 feet in front of the car. Gave the salvage tag to a passer by. Didn’t have room in the freezer yet. Sucks all the way round.

I’m ready for season, hope to be able to hunt more than 1 day this season, but this guy is frequenting my camera about everyday so might be a repeat of last year.
