Below are answers to frequently asked questions.
The COVID vaccine is available to everyone 6 months of age and older.
Most health insurance plans will cover the COVID-19 vaccine at no cost. For anyone without insurance, or whose insurance doesn't cover the cost:
- Adults may be able to get no-cost vaccines through the Bridge Access Program. Use vaccines.gov to search for a provider near you.
- Children 18 or younger can get no-cost vaccines through Vaccines for Children.
The fall vaccine is designed to match the changing virus. Check availability at your local pharmacy, grocery store, doctor, or other provider.
We are happy to provide proof of vaccination to any individual who was vaccinated through Iredell Health System.
Requests for proof of vaccination should be submitted online by clicking HERE.
At your appointment for your first dose, you were given a vaccine record card from the CDC. This card shows what type of vaccine you received with a corresponding lot number. Make sure you have written name and date of birth at the top The date you receive your first dose should be listed in the space next to the vaccine name.
When you received your second dose, you were given a second card. This card was the same as your first, but likely has different information written on it. It may be written in the "Other" space. It's up to you to copy information from this second card to your first card, into the second dose line. Make sure you include the date your received your second dose.
