What to know: Iowa will honor five seniors, who will be playing their final regular-season game at Carver (the Hawkeyes are a virtual lock to host first- and second-round NCAA tournament games) — Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall, Molly Davis, Sharon Goodman and the incomparable Caitlin Clark.
In Iowa’s 108-60 win at Minnesota on Wednesday, Clark became the all-time leading scorer in major-college women’s basketball. She has scored 3,650 points.
Pete Maravich is the leading NCAA men’s player of all-time, with 3,667 points.
Clark, who announced this week that this will be her last season at Iowa, is averaging 32.2 points and 8.7 assists per game, and leads the nation in both categories.
Ohio State has clinched the Big Ten regular-season championship, its first outright title since 2018. The Buckeyes and the Hawkeyes shared the crown in 2022.
The Buckeyes rallied from 12 points down in the fourth quarter and outlasted Iowa, 100-92 in overtime on Jan. 21 in Columbus. That was the game in which Clark and a Buckeyes fan collided in the postgame court storm.
Ohio State has won 15 consecutive games.
Iowa will be the 2-seed at the Big Ten tournament if it wins Sunday, the 3-seed if it loses.
Jacy Sheldon leads the Buckeyes at 18.0 points per game. Cotie McMahon adds 14.3 ppg.
ESPN’s College GameDay will air from Carver at 10 a.m.
