'Brahmastra' box office collection Day 6: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer sees further drop in collections; to miss Rs 150 crore mark at end of week 1

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's latest release 'Brahmastra' saw a further drop in numbers at the box office as it came to the end of its first week.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's latest release 'Brahmastra' saw a further drop in numbers at the box office as it came to the end of its first week.
The film that clocked 6 days at the box office, earned Rs 9.25-9.50 crore nett on Wednesday, stated a report on boxofficendia.com. According to these early estimates, the film's total is likely to be around Rs 138 crore nett.



The drop on Wednesday was around 15% which is still within range for a big release which usually sees a bigger drop of over 50%.

With these numbers, the film is expected to wrap up its first week at the ticket windows with a business of around Rs 145-146 crore nett, thus falling a little short of the Rs 150 crore mark.

The film did lose ground on Tuesday with a 20% plus drop in collections.
All eyes will soon turn to the box office to see how well the film holds during its second weekend at the box office.


'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' has already raised over Rs 225 crore at the worldwide box office. The film hit the milestone in its opening weekend, the makers announced in a statement.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the first instalment of the big-budget fantasy adventure franchise 'Astraverse', also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna.

The film which was produced on a mammoth budget of over Rs 400 crore, is currently in theatres in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
