Can create new sets in a flash. Can make sets in Word and paste into QuizletManage sets on computer and view them on phoneCan view sets offlineEndless quick study uses
This is a very powerful application, even if you use the free version. You can create your own study sets, share them with the public, or restrict them to groups that you form. You can access study sets created from other people, and add them to your own. This is a particularly good program for Quick Recall and other academic teams. If your purchase the pro version, you can even have your team members log in, and keep track of what they are doing, and how much time they are spending.
I have this app on both PC and on tablet. It's a great portable program, to study in the car, etc. And by having it on the PC, it is easier to create the study sets by using the keyboard and mouse to type, and to cut and paste.
All in all, one of my favorite academic applications!
My daughter told me about this app and I was amazed at what can be done with it. And I have both a lap top and a tablet, so I can use either to go into quizlet and there are the flash cards I made using the other device. You can make flashcards for learning (like we used in school to learn our multiplication), or whatever kind you need. Can't tell you a lot about it, have only just started using it, but it is easy to use and the results are amazing.
This app is really great for anybody who enjoys studying or wants to learn a new language or concept for school and it will help you in your academic careers greatly. Beyond that if you're participating in the contest of some sort that involves any intellectual feet such as remembering words or specific scientific terms this app will help you with the grammar and vocabulary very very well. One difference with the Amazon version of the app however is that the layout is a little bit different based on what devices you're done because I got it on my Kindle Fire HD 8, and the layout wasn't the same as it is on iOS or on the version you get from the Google Play Store.
I am a teacher of government, economics, and criminal justice. All of these courses have a fair bit of vocabulary, and Econ and CJ both have a substantial amount of specialized terms that students simply have to know.
I have been a fan of quizlet for some years now and have been a happy premium subscriber. I create flash cards, use them for pre-tests and with Kahoots (an online game), and embed them on my personal teacher website. I encourage my students to download the app on their devices and I do so as well. The Quizlet app for Kindle is working like a champ on my Fire HD6. Does it have all the features that a user can find on the website? Of course not - and that's OK. It is a platform for the key functions and features - and it does a great job on that score.
Some people whine about content or having to have a google or email account to use quizlet. Let's address these concerns....
Content is dependent on the users. Quizlet builds the platform and we create flashcards that we can choose to make public. So if the person making the flashcards is knowledgeable, you have a useful study aid. If not, then you get something less than stellar. Unless you are totally clueless about the content you are studying, you should be able to separate the wheat from the chaff fairly quickly. If all else fails, make your own cards - it's pretty easy to do.
If you don't have google or an email account, I have no idea how you function in this century. Sorry, but there it is. Actually, if having an email account is a problem, how do you post on Amazon? Quizlet offers free accounts - limited but free. They use an email address for a variety of reasons. If this doesn't appeal to you, I recommend you do an Amazon search for old fashioned index cards.
This app is amazing. Went back to school after a thousand years to get my Masters in Business and my main concern was not having enough time to study and do regular life. This app however, really helped put that issue to bed. I mostly use it on my phone to study at work while on break, lunch or whenever I have a spare moment and it works so well I even sit on my couch at home and study. It gets the job done and then some. Simply load all of your study notes etc. and your good to go. I mainly use the flashcard version and so far I have passed every test just by being able to get so much extra study time in without needing paper notes or books.
I've been using Quizlet (app and website) for several months now and it is a great way to study vocabulary. I found that others had already created vocabulary lists for the book I am using so I can just take those and make them my own to edit and study which saves a great deal of time because I'm not having to input all the data. Quizlet continues to improve - they just added sound for example - so I became a paid member (very inexpensive) so I can record my voice and study that way too. Great app!
This is not quite what I thought it would be. It does have some interesting things on it and you can find just about any subject. However you cannot find whole courses, reading material, etc. What you do find is some test preparations on specific questions and vocabulary. Kind of neat, but just not what I thought it would be based on its description. Of course, it is free, and that is a good thing.
I have a had this app before and absolutely love all the festures. However I got a new device and downloaded this app to study off of, and I can't sign in. I know I have logged in through google, and so I put my email and password in and get told to put in my username and birth date. No matter what I do, a date isn't accepted and I can't move forward to sign in or back to the login page to try a different account. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it just saved my information and stuck at the same issue. I will update this review if I can get it fixed.
//since leaving this review I got Quizlet to let me "create" a new account so I could deactivate it and log into my old one. I still give 4/5 stars because of the hassle and some of hassle learning modes are difficult to navigate. Besides these two problems I have, this app is great for studying vocabulary
I am 13 years old and I love this app! It is so useful for studying and has helped me get better marks on vocab tests in MFL. This app is best for studying languages but you can use it to make handy flashcards for any subject, and use them wherever you are to revise. You can also view sets of cards other users have created and potentially find sets of cards appropriate for what you are studying. An amazing app which I would definitely recommend.
Anki, as good as it's algorithm is, has a severe lack of engagement and community, which Quizlet has lots more of.
Therefore I think Quizlet is better thn Anki, though I'd like for them to implement a scheduling algorithm like Anki's, so you can schedule things differently than just with starts
È un'app davvero comoda per testare la propria preparazione usando flash cards. Il bello è che ce ne sono migliaia già pronte, create dagli altri utenti di quizlet.
