Pastors should be preparing their people to stand up amidst persecution. Pastors should be telling people what Jesus said it means to follow Him which consists of counting the cost. Taking up our cross. Seeking His Kingdom over ours.  Is that what we are hearing on Sunday mornings?

Am I really a Christian? Am I really saved? Am I really going to heaven? How do I know for sure? Those are the questions that might haunt you. You lay awake at night wondering “Am I doing enough? Am I believing the right things?” And you never feel convinced. So today let’s get the answer and settle this once and for all in your life! 

Why are so many people confused when they hear the good news about Jesus? Why is it that someone can read the Bible and yet it makes no sense to them? Why is Nicodemus having a difficult time understanding what Jesus is telling him about being born again? Why are people afraid they might not be saved because of their past that they can’t get over?

What will matter on your deathbed? Will you be thinking about God’s kingdom and heaven or thinking about your kingdom and how sad you are to leave this earth? This week Jacob and Joseph will leave the pages of Scripture and we will learn why it matters that we end well.

We know as Christians we shouldn’t be hypocrites. But sometimes we are. But there’s a big problem with that as we will see today from two people – Ananias and Saphira. Join us as we continue in the book of Acts.

Genealogies remind us that God has a plan for our lives! He wants to use us! He wants to use our children and our grandchildren and we can see that from Jesus’ genealogy.
