  • If your child speaks another language other than English, you need to schedule the preLAS (language) test. Here are the options for testing:

     1. Your #1 ranked campus on your application; or

    Call the campus that you ranked as your first choice on the application and directly schedule an appointment.

    2. Schedule an appointment at a HUB location; or

    Go to this link here to schedule an appointment from 8 AM- 5 PM. 

     3. Attend a Pre-K Festival:

    Attend one of the Pre-K festivals from 9:00-11:30 AM. View the flyer here for all festival locations. 

     

    If your child is currently 2 years old and needs the preLas language test, but he/she will turn three before September 1st, please contact us or your first-ranked school for instructions. You will not lose your spot on the application.

  • 2024-2025 PRE-K APPLICATION IS NOW OPEN

    All students who are starting school in HISD for the first time in 2024-2025 must submit a Choose HISD Pre-K application to indicate they want to attend their zoned school or want to select another school(s).
