Stranger Things is finally returning to Netflix in late-May, and so much time has passed since we last saw the gang.

Season 4 sees the Stranger Things teenagers 6 months after the bloody and destructive Battle of Starcourt, which dismantled the city of Hawkins and closed out Season 3. "Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time—and navigating the complexities of high school hasn't made things any easier," per Netflix's official synopsis. "In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down."

The first volume drops on May 27, followed five weeks later by the second on July 1. As we prepare for (hopefully) yet more style overhauls and teen romances, we take a look at the real-life ages of the cast of everyone's favorite '80s-inspired horror show ahead.
