cute little piece of history a must stop for any tourist in the area. a quick yet informative stop . what a wild story . I wonder where the architect of this house is now a days. he probably doesn't even know how strong his work was .

Nice section of Chicoutimi to walk in. The house serves as a symbol of the Saguenay floods. It's set up as a park to represent the events.

I'd seen the house in March 2021, when most things were locked up due to the pandemic. So glad we went back to experience the museum! The video presentation is superb, and the animatronics are amazing!! Even close-up, they look real.

We just went here the other day ..Such a beautiful plc.. We will return in the summer months..we can't wait ...

Beautiful small park and museum which records the flood tragedy that happened in 1996. The whole area is wonderfully maintained. There is a magnificent church adjacent and access to the pulp mill museum also in the same area. Lots of photo opportunities. There is a local hotel for refreshments. Definitely worth a visit.

Good location and listening to events unfold during the flood

Very cute museum, been wanting to go and finally did. It is an interesting part of the history of the flood in 1996. It is not to expensive, and definitely something to go see if you're in the area. You also get this automatic machine that you put in numbers, put it up to your ear and it tells you about that specific display you are looking at. It comes in both languages French and English.

This was interesting but not really worth the stop. 18 min movie will bore kids and most adults. The “aquarium” is a small touch pool and one wall of a few fish. Don’t come here and expect a full aquarium! I wouldn’t recommend

Excellent displays that cover three aspects of the region: the fjords and marine life, fauna of the area and the people of the region and their history. Lots of hands on and even a simulation of a trip through the fjords

Had wonderful experience knowing the history and watching the insects and some live experience of touching sea animals like starfish and crabs

this place will take you about top 1 hours to see museum is not that big bur really interesting you can find a gift shop, toilet there is a small movies too watch take about 20 min to see it a great addition to the visit nice place to eat ouside witha picnic table and you can see the sagnuenay river

This is a very small Museum that you can tackle in just over an hour. Great location right by the water. The have a small indoor pond where the kids can play with the animals (under supervision). Learn about the natural beauty that are the fjords of the Saguenay and Lac St. Jean region.

It’s great that questions like how the fjord formed and why is the water in the river salty are answered after the visit. The history of the paper pulp and aluminum industry is also very interesting to see. Highly recommend to visit.

Gorgeous park with beautiful trails! Make sure to wear good hiking shoes if you want to do the harder trails by the river. We didn't have time to see all of it by any means, so we might be back again tomorrow to check out more!

Parc de la Rivière-du-Moulin is a fantastic destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy some time in nature. Highly recommended!

What a lovely place for a walk. We went in Winter. I can’t wait to go back know the summer. Didn’t ski but that looks lovely to. Highly recommend.

Super nice place! This park has easy trails (family friendly) and has some more difficult trails (but still doable for someone with little physical strength). Very clean and easy to walk. Beautiful in every season!

Nice playground for the kids with a water park and various hiking trails. There is also a pavilion and covered picnic areas.

Got to see 3 beautiful falls really quickly. Nice journey for hiking! Doesn't feel dangerous and really beginner friendly. Good for families, couples and solo hikers. Trails are really easy to walk on even with bad shoes.

Informative tour. One of the main displays was shutdown for renovations. We were given a 25% discount on the entrance fee because of that. It is a very picturesque area. Staff very helpful and extremely friendly.

Very interesting museum and outdoor walking paths around the old pulp mill! We learned a lot and we’re grateful that the signage was in French and English!

The most interesting part is the pulp process and history of the place. However the rest (exhibitions) is not really interesting both for adults and kids... I would suggest to go in summer as you can visit the whole exterior site where in winter it's only the museum and nothing else.

Wish our tour would have been able to go inside museum. Very interesting area.

Have to say that they have a bit of a ways to go when it comes to general customer relations. The failure to clear the snow made it nearly impossible to enter the museum and when we did find a door. We were somewhat intercepted by a woman who said no fewer than four times that we must pay. Of course we must pay. Not a good start to the experience. The signage leading to the parking is not clear. The large wooden staircase is not clear if snow. We entered through the Ombudsman office upstairs. Took the elevator to the lower floor. Then, were met officiously by the woman who was fixated on the fee. We left. But, we were not able to climb the stairs to our car so I reentered the building but the elevator was cardlock.

Nice museum. Best check out the painted house inside as a great destination.

Bus tour from Sageneuy la Baie, pier. Very informative guide with photo stop. Interesting historical perspective of the area. Definitely unique experience to the region.

La Pulperie de Chicoutimi is a gem in Canada/Quebec's history. What an amazing story of ingenuity, brutally hard work, risk (physically and financially), justice/injustice (on the part of the efforts of the Catholic Church on behalf of the labor force), technology and "development"! This is a story which should be taught in the public schools of Canada. There is so much to learn here! I would strongly encourage that the indigenous story of short lived effort be included since I felt it was given superficial attention.

We really enjoyed our visit. The guide, Monique, was excellent: friendly & informative. She told us fascinating facts about plant and herbal remedies. We spent a most enjoyable afternoon, walking and going canoeing on the lake. And then we saw a bear in its natural habitat!! Really worth the trip :)

Beautiful,cheap and the staff is really nice! We had an amazing day and we'll come back for sure!

we did the Le Canyon trail for 3km it was worth the walk and getting a scenic view of the cascade. you have good rest stops in between as well to enjoy the sound of water and breathe in the fresh air. It's 6$ per person for access.

We mountain biked. The classification of the trails is completely wrong. The intermediate trails would be at least black diamond anywhere else and the beginner trails were challenging. It's also a little bit wild. That being said there were some fun parts. The falls and the river are quite beautiful as well. It's worth the 4$ entry fee.

Excellent place...the barage is mindblowing. U can have a picnic seating in the benches beside that point.

Wow! Such a diverse range of animals... cool premises and very affordable! A must in the area! And the animal nursery with baby felines is awesome!

It was a wonderful zoo ! There was such a wide variety of animals, and they all looked happy ! There was so much more energy with the animals than I've seen in most zoos

Cool zoo to visit takes about 2 hrs to get around, definitely buy some of the animal food at the ticket office, animal feeding was great fun.
