The location is very convenient, most of the places can easily be reached by foot. Housekeeping staff was excellent and made sure the room was in immaculate condition. I initially booked a higher floor room caus I read that the siren sounds can be disturbing. During check in time they provided us with connecting rooms but did not honor the higher floor rooms booking due to unavailability of connecting rooms, although there was a price difference. Nevertheless after a couple of days we did grew used to the sirens and it did not disturbed our sleep. Pool area is a joke and an after thought, there are no showers and the pool is tiny. The hotel only has one restaurant which becomes boring after some time. All in all a good option since it’s good value for money and the cleanliness lived up to our standards.

If you would like a hotel which is centrally located in Chicago, Doubletree would be a great option. 3 mins walking distance to Magnificent mile, 10 mins to Navy pier and close to main tourist attractions However, for those driving, parking is expensive at $50 per day. Cheaper option is to park opposite at $33 per day. No free WiFi in the room, only limited to lobby surroundings. Love the cookies!

I selected the Cambria because my son was having surgery at Lurie Children's Hospital and the hotel is right next door - literally a 2 minute walk. Great location! Very clean with a very cool vibe. Updated - although still undergoing renovations which was a little inconvenient but not bad (reason for 4 star rating on facilities). Best part - the staff! Exceptional! From the valet who helped unload our car to the staff at the front desk, all were kind, helpful and very proactive in serving our needs. I definitely will stay here again!

The Drake Hotel was one of my favorite hotel experiences ever. The location was awesome and within walking distance of everything I wanted to do in Chicago, the staff were so friendly and helped us book a boat tour, make reservations, etc.; we had afternoon tea there one day and it was phenomenal, it was also a very quiet and restful hotel with wonderful beds, a huge TV, and personality and class to boot. I LOVED the Drake and it would be a dream to stay there again!

I am not going to over criticize this property because I believe the staff make every effort to provide you with a nice experience. The problems mainly involve dated facilities, unclean and unstocked common area bathrooms (particularly the lower level under lobby) and the outrageously over priced parking. Our room included a mini fridge which stayed warm and a small microwave which we found inside a cabinet, under a drainpipe..not kidding. The rooms are suites BUT don't expect to use the sofa bed as we did, for sleeping. The kids complained it was like sleeping on cement. The first morning, I noticed the tv wasn't working in bedroom and nightstand light was out. Engineering came over immediately and fixed the TV and provided me with 4 bottles of water! oh yeh, did I mention that the hotel charges you $6.50 for a bottle of water.. we're talking regular Sams Club or Costco water...not Voss or Fiji!!!! THAT is outrageous... be prepared and bring several bottles with you or visit the convenience store within walking distance of hotel. The parking situation just sucks elephant A@@.. There is no way to "nice it up". I did discover a parking garage..self park..for $36 per day versus $66 valet per day. I was told erroneous info when I checked in about the self park which is why I valeted. So word of advice, find out for yourself and self park. The lot was only about 1 block, if that. I didn't find this particular one until morning of checkout. All in all.. good location, nice and friendly staff, clean rooms and decent price for the location. I would stay here again but be a little more prepared and informed.

My daughter and I and her friend and mom stayed over the last weekend. It was the perfect location, close to the shopping we wanted to do (specifically the American Girl Place) and we were also right across the street from the trolley pickup for the Christmas light tour we were doing. We didn't need to access the car a single time until we left again because everything was so close! Very nice hotel, clean, updated, friendly staff. We would recommend to anyone and we would definitely stay again!

We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation, the suite was well equip ed and spacious; the room was cleaned to a very high standard and made up on a daily basis. The buffet breakfast was a little repetitive but met our expectations and the light evening meal was basic but was of a good standard and included my favourite wine "free". The location is great for shopping and is in easy walking distance to both bus and rail. We will definitely stay here again.

One of my highlight of trip in Chicago is Crowne Plaza Hotel Magnificent Mile! I do not take any public transportation during 4-days stay in Chicago! You just need walk, to reach most key viewpoints in Chicago due to it's great location, 3 minutes to Apple Store, 2 minutes to Magnificent Mile, easy to walk to Navy Pier, Howl at the Moon bar which is hottest bar in Chicago. Nice hotel staff make you feel warm and conveinent to stay here, plus a very clean and large size room ( I take king size room), just absolute right decision to stay in Crowne Plaze!

The room was small but well-serviced. The hotel touch-screen information service was slow, balky, and difficult to use. Internet service was excessively priced. One of the security locks on the door was not properly installed, resulting in us initially being "locked out" of our room. We ended up repairing it ourselves to prevent further issues. Bathroom was old and while very clean could have been better maintained. Only one robe provided in a booking for two people. But the staff and the location were outstanding! We went shopping, and then out for dinner and the theater - all easy to do because of the location and the advice of the hotel staff. And after the show, the lobby bar was a great location to relax and close out the evening.

We were booked at the Red Roof Inn through Agoda, but transferred to the Essex Inn. And it was a great hotel, right on Grant Park. Nice restaurant/bar downstairs, which had inexpensive food and very good burgers. The rooms were clean with two big beds, and nice amenities in the bathroom. TV's were big and got scores of broadcasters. The best part was being able to walk right across the street to the park where the Lollapalooza music festival was being held.

i will stay at this hotel again for sure. everyone working here was extremely helpful, and willing to go above and beyond. the rooms are very comfortable and clean as well as elegant. it is in a great location as well right next to many restaurants and shopping areas. charlie is the best hotel worker that i have ever met. he makes it a personal challenge to help all of the guests in the best way that he can.

Came for a Bulls game again, second time in two years. The stay was just as good as the previous time. Did some online shopping before I arrive and had them all sent to the hotel, who kept the packages for me until I arrive. Excellent service indeed. Walgreens/Target very close by if you need some groceries. Walking distance to Michigan Ave for shopping. Walking to the Millennium Park was also manageable. Would definitely stay here again for my next Bulls game.
