Looking for a rooftop restaurant with a view of the Empire State Building for after a sunset boat ride from the 11th avenue piers. Cuisine doesn't matter- moderate priced would be great but more expensive is ok too. Seems most place are roof top bars, not restaurants. Thanks.

48 helpful votes The first few places on this list (Refinery roof, Spyglass at the Archer hotel and the Skylark) have views of the ESB. They are more bars than restaurants but serve food and are relatively casual. The link gives you an idea of the views.

Thank you! These choices look great- although not dinner the view of the Empire State Building can't be beat. Planing this for a group of graduates .

Personally I would eat dinner somewhere tasty & then grab a drink or dessert at one of the rooftop places because the food at those tends to be overpriced for how lousy it is.
We had cocktails & a small plate at Dear Irving on the Hudson atop the Aliz hotel last summer. It was tasty enough. You will need a reservation.
