It was our first time visiting Prague. Although we arrived late night, the receptionist was quite helpful and gave us warm welcome. He recommended us to visit the private outside garden(the staff advised that this is usually closed during winter sadly) which was beautiful! One of the staff, Martin, showed us the room, explained the concept and gave us some helpful information about things to do in Prague. The breakfast was included in our rate and we enjoyed a selection of breads, meats, cereals and condiments. The hotel is located a 3-5 minutes walk away from the famous Charles Bridge, which was a magnificent sight! Highlight of the stay was definitely the staff, as they went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Would definitely recommend!!

Hotel's Favourite
The hotel used to be the governors mansion which was converted to apartments during communist era, and then converted to a hotel recently. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. The rooms are spacious and modern. The service is impeccable, always looking to please. You may think you are in Ritz Carlton. Location is great and quiet, far from hustle and bustle of tourist area yet only a 5-10 minute walk to everything. Can’t say enough about the gardens. A work of art with great views of the city. The hotel has many original art work from Chagall, Dali and others. Very impressive. You must try the rooftop restaurant with great views of the city and excellent food. We will definitely come back and stay longer this time. Till then. John D.

Dear John D, thank you very much for your extensive and very positive review ! We do very much appreciate your comments about the room condition and design - all rooms & suites have been completely and extensively renovated in the beginning of 2018 and hand picked designer furniture and custom made furnishings were installed as well as Italian fabrics for curtains and black outs. We are also very proud of our SAFFRON Beds - premium quality beds that were also installed into all guest rooms during renovations. Vrtba Garden is a true gem ( open April - October ) , rooftop Terrace offers breathtaking views and culinary highlights. CODA Restaurant and Winter garden feature a very extensive Art collection and creates a truly extraordinary ambiance. We truly hope to be able to welcome you back to Aria Hotel Prague next time for more than 4 days - please do feel free to reach out to me directly for future reservation arrangements. Sincerely Jan Korta

My friend and I stayed at the Aria Hotel on our recent visit to Prague. It's in a central location on the west side of the river, very close to the Charles Bridge and walkable to all the main sites in the city. The property is lovely, including a beautiful garden and rooftop terrace in the back, with a music theme throughout, and our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom had Molton Brown products. The staff were warm and professional, assisting us with any requests. We also enjoyed using the fitness room's up-to-date equipment and facilities. We were very pleased with our stay at the Aria and would highly recommend it for your trip to Prague!

Hotel Aria Prague is off the beaten track but with access to Charles Bridge and the castle area. It has private access to a beautiful garden that is a lovely spot in which to just sit and chill. Our room was nicely sized and comfortable. The bathroom had both a tub and a shower and was well-stocked with Moulton Brown toiletries. The hotel’s best attribute, however, is the staff. The servers in the restaurant were attentive and happy to provide “to go” coffee to take into the garden. The front desk staff helped me with Czech language lessons, worked hard to get us last minute dinner reservations. and even mailed the swim suit I left in the shower back to me. We highly recommend this hotel.

It’s rather hard to say just one nice thing or two about my stay at the Hotel Aria because there were so many nice things but I’ll sum it up, it was delightful! Here are just a few things among others that I found to be really special; the service is extremely kind, the rooms and public areas are elegantly decorated with tasteful musical themes that also make it a fun place to stay. It is located in the area of Prague the beautiful old aristocratic Mala Strana where the castle hill and the palaces of some of Europe’s oldest families are found. There are also within a short walking distance beautiful churches and shrines some of which one can see from one’s bedroom window. I came to Prague to hear the Czech Philharmonic conducted by a famous conductor play Mahlers 9th Symphony. This hotel with its musical themes further enhanced the enjoyment of attending this concert at the Rudolfino in celebration of the Red Velvet Revolution. Even though there was a cold Fall drizzle it actually made the city glisten all the more and the hotel bar and dining room were a cozy welcome retreat. I am so happy that I stayed here and can’t wait to come back in the summer to enjoy it all again plus the roof top dining deck with its magnificent city views!

We didn't choose this hotel in the first place. I booked somewhere else but that hotel (an international top-level 5-star property) suddenly cancelled my reservation with no explanation, and then rebooked us at the Aria. But I must admit the outcome was much better than I expected. We arrived quite late at night so we couldn't really fully appeciate the hotel, just that our room was a good size, decor was bright and pleasant, bathroom clean and adequate, yet no view and only looked into an internal courtyard. But we were delighted by the sumptuous breakfast buffet the following morning. We were also pleased with a dinner in the hotel restaurant, which ended up being one of the more memorable meals we had this trip. Despite the rainy thunderous weather which meant the rooftop bar was closed, the staff was kind enough to open it just for us, so we could take our wine up there for a toast, snap a few pictures, and enjoyed a few moments of the night scenery. Perhaps most unexpected and delightful was the afternoon stroll in the hotel back garden. It was a lovely area with a few stairs to navigate, but well worth it. We'd be happy to return to this hotel on our next trip to Prague, especially given the convenient location just two blocks away from Charles Bridge!

We visited the restaurant was truly impressed with the service, quality, food presentation and the overall dining experience. The menu focused on both local and international dishes and they had a huge collection of wines, cocktails and whiskey to complement your meal. The hotel has a music theme and the ambiance was truly relaxing.

My husband and I stayed at Aria from Dec 19th - Dec 23rd and we had the most incredible experience. This hotel has figured out everything that travelers need and want in a hotel and they execute these tasks to perfection. The lobby and downstairs gathering area are elegant, welcoming and were decorated beautifully for the holidays. The check in process (thanks to Tanya) was completely stress free, very professional, quick and fluid (which was so crucial after nearly a whole day of traveling), and we were so impressed right away with the staff. I can't say enough wonderful things about the accomodations. We were lucky enough to be in the Smetana suite, and every single detail was exquisite! The architecture, the windows, the antiques, the well-appointed kitchen, the fabulous bathroom, and the roomy closet are more fabulous than I could possibly describe. They have an extremely high quality and easy to use stereo setups in the rooms and you can easily play your music from your devices or music from their selection (along with tv/movies, of course) and I loved how this detail went hand in hand with the musical theme of the hotel. It was such a treat that we enjoyed immensely. We loved exploring Prague and the neighborhood that Aria is in but we adored coming back to the suite to relax or prepare for the next activity. It was so hard to leave! The breakfast at Aria is exceptional and has everything you could possibly want all prepared and ready, and we were thrilled to start each day with this treat. We also had an extremely delicious and wonderfully festive and fancy dinner at their restaurant Coda, and it was as perfect as all the other aspects of Aria. Treat yourself to dinner and you will not regret it! The workout facilities are well equipped and I enjoyed trying to work off the calories I consumed at breakfast. Finally, I have to mention the staff. Aria is superb in every way and I have no doubt that it is because of the thought put into all the hotel's details and the people who keep the wheels turning each and every day, whatever their role may be. Everyone we talked to or came in contact with was nothing short of wonderful and professional. Henry the Concierge, Tanya at the front desk, Dusan at Coda, and Jiri the general manager represent just a few of the exceptionally talented and experienced people who made our stay so splendid. They are the absolute best at what they do and they are so gracious and willing to help! Thank you to everyone at Aria for the exquisite experience! We will be back someday!

We were greeted in a friendly manner and welcomed to the hotel with enthusiasm and a complimentary drink. The room was lovely, plenty of space, fresh fruit, bottled water and access to both Apple TV and an iPad. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom had Molten Brown products and a decent shower. Breakfast was continental style with a few hot items as well as pastries, yoghurt, several breads, fresh fruit and cold cuts. The complementary tea in mid-afternoon was very well received. We did not dine at the hotel but the list of recommended restaurants in the city and assistance with making reservations was extremely helpful. All staff we only too happy to help. The only small matter which I didn't bother mentioning to the hotel was that the shower water temperature could fluctuate which required adjustment of the taps.

Fantastic stay filled with relaxation, a beautiful view, and an outstanding breakfast. Sadly, my girlfriend and I were only able to stay for one evening, but it was well worth it. The management team even gave us a Junior King Suite overlooking the garden, which was incredibly sweet. Between the tiny chocolates in the room, the welcome drink, the friendly staff, the sauna, and the music all throughout, Aria was truly an excellent investment.

Is the property accessible by taxi and if on foot is it on a hill with multiple steps
Answer from NYC7002
Feb 2020 |
Yes, it is accessible by taxi and no, it’s not on a hill. No steps up to reception and there’s an elevator right at reception. One of the people I was traveling with had a knee issue which seriously affected his mobility and he was fine getting in and out of the hotel and accessing his room and the breakfast and public rooms.
