One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Fabulous location - can walk to all the highlights in Prague within 20 minutes. Great food. Large comfortable room. But the most outstanding feature is the incredibly helpful and nice staff. The concierge staff had great recommendations for concerts and restaurants and getting around. Front desk and restaurant staff were all wonderful.

Stayed only one night for a business trip and given that it was 10 years since my last visit to Prague, I have no good benchmark but my other (international) travel.

the hotel is well-situated, offers great views, and the staff is very nice and helpful.
the room (deluxe king) is not what I would expect from a 5* hotel: carpet (in case of allergy, a real problem; we asked for a room with a wooden floor or so, but all rooms seem to have carpets); too warm (AC not functioning very well). Complimentary high-speed internet, water and nice Molton Brown toiletries. Room was very quiet though so excellent for a good night's sleep. also, everything was clean as it should be.
the fitness is outdated when it comes to working out gear.
the break-fast is of excellent quality, and if you pay a little extra you can have some great made-to-order dishes.

all in all, a good choice if you can have a deal. I can also recommend the hotel's car service (eg. for airport transfers).

Next time, I want to check out the Mandarin Oriental Praha, and see how it compares.

Just returned from a Christmas Trip to Prague and the ARIA HOTEL was the best Christmas Gift of all. This is a small, contemporary hotel with every service you might need or want provided by a warm and caring staff. "What can we do for you? How can we make your stay here as comfortable and as pleasant as possible? This is the way at ARIA. The guest is first, last and always and I recommend this hotel as the best boutique hotel you'll find In Prague, indeed anywhere! Did I mention the rooms? They're large and come equipped with a computer, internet service and IPod at no charge. Their music and film library is awesome, the breakfast was wonderful, and every lunch and dinner was delicious. I've stayed at many 5-star hotels, but the ARIA was the best ever!

We stayed here in a junior suite over New Years and had a fantasist time. We looked at the luxury and junior suites upon arrival and while the luxury suites are much larger, the junior suite ha d a beautiful sunrise garden view and felt cozier and still quite spacious. The staff were incredibly friendly, and a pleasure to deal with. All the staff were fluent in English, and the concierge was very helpful in booking spa and dinner reservations. Coda, the restaurant. N the hotel was the best food we had in prague during our drip, and the service for several dinners, including their NYE event was outstanding. Literally a 5 minute walk to Charles bridge, and 10 minutes from the palace, the location is great for walking around sightseeing. Would highly recommend this hotel.

i have been traveling for a while hotel to hotel by the time i walk in to aria hotel. 2 nights el palace barcelona, 2 nights milan, a night in basel,2 nights grindlewald, 2 nights vienna and 2 night salzburg. anyway, the minute i step in to the hotel, i had a feeling a should have stay longer here. and it was so totally true. the room is very spacious. my room request wasn't available so they upgrade me to a higher one. they took the time to show me a few alternative explaining the difference here and there. they were all fabulous by the way.
the breakfast was very good. you have a choice of scrambled or sunny side up. the next day i mistakenly say omelette and the waitress tell me that there will be extra charges as it is considered to be ala carte. not expensive by any means, it's 10 euro but they like to be careful and not to disappoint their guest. they also have variety of tea to choose from. I am a tea lover, and bouy they were good. i asked where i can get the tea, one of the waitress straight away look up in the internet, print out a copy, ask the concierge for alternative transportation for me to use. they were wonderful people. the bath gel smells wonderful, one of the best i have ever smell too. it doesn't worn out.
prague is a beautiful city. i don't know if the hotel took a big part of it,now i think prague is the most wonderful city in the world and my favourite one so far.
i will definitely come back for more. the hotel and city, of course.

We combined a business trip to Russia with a couple of leisure days in Prague. I researched hotels and after going back and forth we settled on the Aria. Wow what a stay. Top notch in all categories. We travelled with friends and they felt exactly the same. I recommended the Aria to my parents for their recent trip to Prague and they have sine recommended it to friends as well. Cool rooms, awesome service, excellent breakfast each morning and the location can't be beat.

This is one of our new favorite hotels. It is the best metropolitan boutique property we have stayed because of its top-notch service, superb location in the middle of all the Prague attractions, amazing restaurant, and supremely comfortable rooms. We have come to establish a kind of checklist for a 5-star property: good rooms, good service, good food and a good concierge. The Aria is one of the very few hotels we have stayed at that excels in every category.
When we arrived, we were promptly greeted by their doorman and helped with our large amount of luggage. The car was then checked for any scratches or other blemishes and valet parked in their indoor parking garage under the hotel. We then came inside for check-in and were shown our room as our luggage was delivered. The porter also spent some time ensuring we were familiar with all the amenities of the room, which were considerable. The room was fantastic. It was decorated in a classic style with warm tones and everything you could need to include a small fridge, coffee maker, and even a full computer complete with complimentary internet service. In keeping with the music theme of the hotel, there was also a fully-loaded iPod with a number of artists and it was set to a playlist concurrent with our room theme, which was John Coltrane for us (you are free to change the playlist). Additionally, the whole entertainment center was intergrated with the large, flat screen TV, so you can control your music and movie options from the remote control. There was a gorgeous orchid on the desk with a fresh fruit bowl and bottle of complimentary wine. The bathroom had plush monogrammed towels, terry robes, and topped off their overall design by adding a number of Molten Brown toiletries.
After we settled in, we went back downstairs and a member of the staff gave us a full tour of the hotel (explaining the art, music, themes and also the intent of the owner in the design of the hotel) and then he oriented us to the large attractions near the hotel on a map while we enjoyed a drink of our choice from the bar with a live piano performance in the background. There is a pianist who plays in the evening who is very talented, and just a pure delight to listen to if you wish to spend time in their lounge at night.
Later, we spoke with their incredibly knowledgeable concierge who was able to give us information on everything from where to buy the painted kraslice eggs to what concert to attend. She recommended several great local places to eat and gave us an easy itinerary that allowed us the right amount of time to enjoy the different sites and various neighborhoods. She is the epitome of what a concierge should be. She keeps up to date on what stores carry different products, knows the hours of the attractions, calls ahead for reservations, and is utterly refined but polite.
Each floor is decorated in a specific music genre theme, classical, rock, jazz, and one other. Each room is further dedicated to a particular musician/composer commensurate with the floor’s theme. The entire hotel is full of fresh and artsy flower displays and handpicked art and furniture the owner found in various auctions. The hotel ties in the décor between all of it perfectly. The property has an open layout with their foyer and front desk in a good sized hall with seating tucked away in alcoves. Beyond the entrance hall is the restaurant with seating in partially separated rooms on the side, which is where you can find another large seating area, the concierge, meeting rooms, and the listening lounge. The bar is very well stocked with a knowledgeable bar tender.
The only thing we could criticize was the shower. There is a hand held shower head and there is an issue with temperature fluctuations if you bathe in the morning. We were located on the top floor which we requested in order to get the gorgeous roof top view of Prague, however the downside to this was that the (likely) older plumbing caused the water temp to vary several degrees in a short period of time. The next time we come to Prague we would definitely stay at the Aria again, but we would probably get a room on one of the lower floors.
Housekeeping was always very thorough in both their daily cleaning service and turn-down. Everything was neat and orderly, with fresh linens provided in the evening if needed, bed covers pulled, and floor mats arranged on the carpet.
One evening we were going to see a concert, but we were short on time between the end of our tour of the castle and when we needed to get ready for the evening's performance, so we decided to visit the Aria's sister property, The Golden Well. Before our holiday, we debated which of the two we would stay at, and due to the music theme, price, and exceptional ratings, we chose the Aria. After winding through the streets below the castle and finding The Golden Well, we followed the signs and took the elevator to the restaurant, which is known for its stunning view of the city and nice dining. It is a small seating area and decorated very nicely with Czech crystal chandeliers and fresh flowers. We glanced at the menu, which was very similar to the Aria, but the prices at The Golden Well are a bit higher. Unfortunately, due to the time constraints and the similar nature of the menus, we decided to head back to the Aria. Although both hotels are lovely, after visiting each, we are very pleased with our decision to stay at the Aria. When we came back to our hotel we enjoyed an amazing dinner at their Coda Restaurant. We had the seared scallops which were cooked to perfection with a side of mango. For mains, we had the duck and tuna, both of which were delicious. The duck was succulent and full of flavor, and the tuna masterfully paired with various sides.
We had the breakfast buffet included in our room tariff and it was a great start to the day. We did order off the a la carte menu one of the mornings, but the buffet is more than adequate with fresh fruit and fruit juice, plenty of hard and soft cheeses, and a selection of meat and fish cuts. The croissants are absolutely delectable and taste like they were just out of the oven. Also, the wait staff brings your choice of coffee or tea. Easily one of the best continental breakfasts we have encountered.
This hotel more than meets our expectation of a five star hotel and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a couple’s getaway weekend in the city.

This hotel has very nice size rooms and wonderful bathrooms. The staff is very helpful and the concierge was very available and helpful. If you don't mind walking, this is the perfect hotel. My only complaint is I didn't realize that we didn't have a view of the garden, but of the courtyard of the hotel. When I travel I like to look out my window and see the city. There is only one room in the regular room category with a view and you have to reserve it specifically. Wish I would have known. Breakfast is great, nice room good selection of food.

Is the property accessible by taxi and if on foot is it on a hill with multiple steps
Answer from NYC7002
New York City, New York47 contributions64 helpful votes
Yes, it is accessible by taxi and no, it’s not on a hill. No steps up to reception and there’s an elevator right at reception. One of the people I was traveling with had a knee issue which seriously affected his mobility and he was fine getting in and out of the hotel and accessing his room and the breakfast and public rooms.
