Holy Spirit PSR Watchful Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024

On my walk to work there is this big tree. The top of the tree is full of life, but the trunk near the bottom has a big hollow hole in it ; sometimes people even disrespect it and use it as a garbage can. I am tempted to stick my head in that hollow and see how far that hollow goes , but if I get my head stuck, well there are no words to describe that.

Isn’t that tree just like us?  We look full of life, but at times our insides are full of hollow. We don’t have a hole to look into, but we feel the empty. We try to fill that space with all kinds of things, but truly only God can fill that void with His ineffable love and mercy.

This Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday. Jesus especially fills us that day with love, forgiveness and mercy. He makes that hollow full of His life. There is no better way or other way to make us whole again.

That tree will never be able to be filled again and it is just how nature works, but our souls can be filled over and over again. Jesus has no limit  to His mercy!
