Came to Breckenridge for a bit of Christmas cheer before the holiday and Main Street is exactly what I had in mind. All the buildings have Christmas lights and decorations. Everyone is friendly and there are lots of variety of shops and restaurants

Something for everyone to do. Beautiful white Christmas! Nice Christmas lights too! Fun sledding, good shopping, great restaurants, ice skating, free trolly, and free gondola ride up the mountain!

I’ve been all over the world and seen a lot of quaint city centers. Breckenridge’s Majn Street is one of the quaintest. The shops, street lights, Christmas decorations, etc. look like a movie set - so beautiful and charming. I recommend taking some time to stroll up and down this lovely street and take in the variety of shops and restaurants.

So if you like browsing all kinds of stores from shirts, hats, furs, rugs, socks, jewelry, boots, amidst eating at interesting places, then this is your spot in Breck. During peak seasons stores are open later and there is more entertainment. In the slow period, it can be quiet and casual browsing. Only downside to slow period is some shops aren’t open and/or service can be mediocre depending on where you stop. Most resorts have buses that drop you off on Main Street. There are free busses that take you up and down the street as well. There is a beautiful river path to take just behind the Main Street. Good place to walk around sipping on coffee holding someone’s hand!
