F-6: Winner of 2021 Masters Tournament

In the 2021 Masters, Matsuyama delivered his biggest win to date, becoming the first male golfer from Japan to claim a major title by besting Will Zalatoris by two strokes at Augusta National Golf Club. Matsuyama has been one of the world's top players since turning professional in 2013, registering 18 worldwide victories. His ninth PGA Tour title came in February at the Genesis Invitational when he carded a final-round 62 at Riviera Country Club. He entered the final round six strokes off the lead. He tied for 10th in his first U.S. Open start in 2013 at Merion Golf Club, and followed it up in 2017 at Erin Hills when he shared second with lefty Brian Harman by shooting a final-round 66. At the 2017 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, he shared the 36-hole lead with Kevin Kisner, but finished tied for fifth. He is a two-time Asian-Pacific Amateur champion and was the low amateur in the 2011 Masters. He has represented the Internatonal Team in the 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022 Presidents Cups.
