Kenneth Wayne Reed, 70, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, uncle, brother, and brother-in-law was called to his eternal resting place on Thursday, April 22, 2021 in Fritch, Texas. He entered this world on August 9, 1950 in Anthony, Kansas, born to Raymond Everett and Lola Fay (Garrett) Reed. Kenneth married Maria del Carmen on August 1, 1975 in Amarillo. 

Ken loved staying in touch with his family, and he adored his two grandchildren. He loved to fish, woodwork, listen to classic rock ‘n roll, and talk politics and family values to anyone who would listen. Known as a hard-worker and family man, he devoted over twenty-five years as an auto-mechanic in Amarillo. Ken could make or fix just about anything! Additionally, he enjoyed sharing his love of fast, engine roaring cars with his daughter, and he loved Kimberly’s homemade cooking (recipes handed down from Carmen). Most recently, Ken had returned home to be closer to his friends and brother-in-law, John, after his sister passed away in December. He was also preceded in death by his parents and wife.  

Kenneth is survived by his loving daughter, Kimberly, and husband Matthew (Kingwood, TX) and grandchildren, Morgan Elyse and Braden Joseph (Kingwood, TX), brother-in-law, John Stevens (Fritch), and many extended friends and family.
